Book by M. J. Saffon. Detailed exercises given, with lots
of photos. Easy to find the exact exercise you want to deal
with whatever 'problem' area you want to work on. Book also includes information on how to cleanse your skin & how to take care of it. Also gives instructions for an "Instant Hollywood Face Lift" that uses clear tape.

"1900-20: Linen & Lace" is great not only for younger readers, but older readers, as well. Great pictures and facts about this era of clothing. A must for fashion lovers. The rest of the "20th Century Fashion" series is just as good as this book. I recommend.

This book is fabulous. It has everything on fashion in the 1920s. My daughter was doing a project on 1920s fashion and she found this book very helpful.

Are you more sporty or more on the femamine side? It gives you a quiz to find out what you are and once you find out what you are it will give some tips on decorating your room, and what kinds of clothes you will wear. But you may not like dressing spory like but you love sports. Thats okay because that is very common on being sporting but you dress more on the girlish style or the other way around. Its not just on dressing and decorating, but also on personality and how you act.

Probably the best book published on the history of costume. It should be on the shelf of every costume designer. Fabulous research and wonderful use of artwork (paintings) to show the historical fashions by date. It is the most comprehensive bible of fashion history in print today. Can't recommend it more highly. My Costume Design professor wants all her design students to invest in this book, as it is invaluable in researching historical dress. She's owned it for over a decade and uses it in the classroom with her students for practically every project.

This is an excellent history of dress in the 20th century, and the events that helped to shape changes in dress. The authors cover the dress of working-class women; children; and men; in addition to designers and designmer fashion. Each chapter begins with an overview of the history of the decade. Political, economic, and cultural events help create a context for the changes in dress.
