This book features Rosemeade Pottery, which was made in Wahpeton, North Dakota, between 1940 and 1961. The text is interesting and informative, and the book includes a large number of beautiful photos of the many different types of pottery produced by Rosemeade. The book is well-organized and easy to use, This is a superb reference book for Rosemeade pottery collectors and everyone interested in American pottery.

One of the few and best guidebooks to ever be written about this esoteric subject! The authors decision to use illustrations over photgraphs in identifying and catalouging the candlesticks was a simple one as Wilson was an award winning illustrator.It was also a practical choice as most of these great old pieces of americanna are corroded and over 100 years old and difficult to photograph.Wilsons drawings are mesmerizing! Book goes into amazing detail of specific patented designs. There is however no price guide but since the book was published over 20 years ago it would surley be out of date at this point. This book needs to be reprinted with an up to date value guide! Are you out there Mineralogical Record Inc. ??

This book is a must read for the beginning and intermediate duck decoy collector. The book includes a wealth of information on collecting old decoys, where to find them, different types and styles of decoys, how to value decoys, how decoys are constructed and what to do once you have started your collection (insurance concerns and displaying/care concerns). One of the most useful chapters in this book deals with the topic of identifying fakes and decoys that may have undergone alterations. This book should not be confused with a decoy reference book...there are carvers mentioned by region in the book and the book does have a substantial number of color and black and white photos of decoys but on a much more limited scale then true decoy reference books. The Appendix is loaded with information on professional decoy restorers, decoy book dealers, books and magazines for decoy collectors, decoy auction houses, decoy collecting clubs and museums that contain decoy collections (please note though that this book does have a 1992 copywrite so that some of the information provided in the Appendix may not be current).

This book Is a good description and selection of Depression glass. Most of the photos are B&W with a few color plates in a section there are 225 pages with a 22 point table of contents and a decent index.

This covers glass from the early 20's through the 30's this was machine-made and fairly inexpensive. They used bright colors including ruby, amethyst, bright green, iridescent carnival orange, aquamarine, cobalt blue, pail pink and yellow. The pieces are mostly tableware.

I've been a collector for more than 8 years and have built up what I think is a great rare book collection, but trying to crack this ebay nut has been tough. This book was a big help to me. It explains in down to earth language how to start making money on ebay, and also how to locate rare items that others won't find, you just have to know some clever tips on searching. I would highly recommend this book to other collectors who want to get their feet wet using ebay, or others who maybe have some experience on the site but want tips on making better money. Overall a great read.

This is a valuable tool if you collect letter openers. Lots of info with great illustrations.

This book has general informations about all cameras produced by Rollei before '80s. But more recent Rollei cameras are not in this book, e.g. Rollei 35 Classic. If you are a beginner into Rollei, it provides general information. If you need detailed information, this book may be not enough!
