This is a must have for any Bleach fan. And of all the anime art books I've seen, this one's the best.

I hope the second art book for Bleach comes out soon.

The art in this book is beautiful. If your a fan of Bleach you'll love it. Don't worry if you don't know Japanese. Some of it is in English but language isn't important since the focus is the artwork.

This a story about a young boy Kazuya who has a love of the sea just like his parents. One day when he is out on the beach geting ready to sail he finds a young girl washed up on the shore. When she awakens she remembers little or almost nothing of her past.

As her memory returns questions arise about her and where she came from. Some think she is from another "blessed land" or is a "sub-human". The subhumans are a speices that are a race that is feared because of their appearence and their blood is supposedly poisonous.

With this in mind a real sub-human washes up on shore and questions are soon aiming at Marine, the young girl. When the young male sub-human washes on shore many think he is a realative of Marine or that they were on the same ship. Is Marine the real sub-human? Or does another sub-human walk among them leaving Marine to take the blame?

Enjoy:)

I have read a lot of manga so when I say this might be one of the best it's true. I've searched a long time for a manga that had a story like this, and I finally found it.

Synopsis: It'a about an earth that is poisoned, not many places are habitable. Those that are are closely guarded secrets and no one really has contact with other humans, so it was a strange thing that one day a girl washes up on the beach. Who is she? Where did she come from? Those are many of the questions that start the series off.

Complex and enjoyable, it's a must read for manga fans.

I really enjoy this series, even though the drawings at the beginning are not the best one can find in the manga world, the more you read the more you like it. The story by itself is really interesting and has a nice twist to it. I would totally recommend this manga for anyone who likes shounen-ai

This is a sweet romance with enough intrigue to give the story dimension. I wasn't a fan of the art at first glance, but it grew on me.

This is just a fun... fun... fun... series to read! Trite at times, but most of the charaters are developed enough to get you to care, laugh, and maybe tear for them. I'll be very sad when this series ends.

Boys over Flowers is an engaging story about a girl with a kick-butt will that refuses to be oppressed by the 'powers that be' at her school, a group of 4 boys called the F4. This series immediately catches your interest, and if you're like me, will quickly become a favorite. It's a definite roller coaster ride, and over the previous 23 volumes the readers have been waiting for one thing: will our heroine, Tsukushi, and her bullying hero, Tsukasa, ever overcome the differences between them and get together? We still don't know, but in v.24 Tsukushi is finally ready to face the biggest obstacle. Can she stand up to Tsukasa's mom?

First off, Chicken little is one of the best kids movies Disney has put out since Nemo!!
Both my kids 3 and 5 LOVE the movie and characters from this movie.
NOW this is my first TOKYOPOP Cine-manga book and I am already hooked!
It is like a book comic strip of the Whole movie!
Very colorful and bright. Pictures true to the movie, in fact obvioulsy taken from the movie.
This book is a great addition to bedtime reading as well as letting my 5 year old look through it himself and relive the movie on his won terms.
Cant wait to add more Disney- Tokyopop Cine-manga books to our library.
Purchased at walmart for a much better price.

Excellent Book Based On The Movie

For months, my husband and son were eager to see Chicken Little at the theater. Having seen the previews, I just wasn't thrilled at the prospect of seeing this particular movie for some reason.

I accompanied my family to the theater to see Chicken Little and was VERY surprised at just how good it was!

My 7 year old son loved the movie, so when he saw Disney's Read Aloud Storybook Chicken Little in the bookstore he exclaimed "Mama! I want this book!" He excitedly took a seat in the bookstore, engrossed in the pages of his new find.

As a Mom who encourages her son to read, I of course bought him the book! But not after taking a hard look at it first. Not all "based on the movie" books are that great, in all honesty.

However, this Disney version passed muster quite easily. It's a hardback book with a glossy cover and is about 8 X 10 in size. Surprisingly, there are 64 colorful pages to Chicken Little. The pages aren't CGI stills of the movie (think Madagascar) but rather are beautifully rendered paintings based on various scenes.

The story is divided into three sections: A Chicken With A Past, The Sky Falls Again, and Family Matters. A Chicken With A Past includes scenes such as Chicken Little being pelted with acorns by the kids on the bus (including Foxy Loxy), Little catching a ride with a sticky lollipop (remember the gum on the street scene?), the sprinkler fiasco in the gym, the big baseball game, and more.

The Sky Falls Again section depicts the strange panel that falls in Little's room, Fish being caught in the space ship, various scenes from within the ship, the whole town gathering at the ball field, and the orange fuzzy alien that was left behind.

Family Matters begins with Little's Dad apologizing to people on the phone the next day and shows the alien "invasion", Little's smooch with Abby Mallard, the meeting with the alien Mom and Dad, the movie "Chicken Little: The True Story" (Ha!) and more.

Despite being 60+ pages, it's not an overly long book so it's a great bed time story. It's not short, though, either. It's a great mix of text and colorful pictures in my opinion. The font is a nice size, too.

My son LOVES this book and asks my husband and me to read it all the time. In fact, he's working on what he calls "Chicken Little II" where he takes elements from the book, changes them, and then re-draws them on blank paper.

Sturdy, engaging, and beautifully rendered, Disney's Chicken Little Read Aloud Storybook is a wonderful book for young fans of the movie. This would make an excellent holiday gift, too!

WOW. That's pretty much how I want to open the review of Volume 3 of the manga version of Chrono Crusade. I enjoyed the anime series to a certain point and then I felt it got caught up in its own religious jargon and apocalyptic battles between effeminate demons. I wasn't so hot on the manga but I was enjoying it more than the anime. Then I read this third volume and I was totally blown away!

Rosette, Chrono, and Azmaria are sent to the New York docks to investigate rumors of illegal demon smuggling. Yeah, that's right demon trafficking! The rapidly expanding NYC mobs are interesting in turning demons into foot soldiers. But they don't have a clue as to what they could unleash. Our heroes gain a new ally...or is it an enemy in the form of Satella Haveheit, "Hexen der Juwel", a millionaire heiress who is also a jewel summoner. She's a bounty hunter who is called in when the Order finds some situations beyond its capacity. Satella also happens to be looking for the hornless demon that killed her family, who just happens to match the description of Chrono! They will have to put their differences aside if they want any chance at destroying an ancient Egyptian mummy who bears a slight grudge for being disturbed from his rest.

This book was really the apex of manga writing and art. The warmth and excitement of it is beyond words. The characters are admirable and all too human. Rosette is a childish but devoted and loyal girl. Satella is a spoiled brat whose heart was emptied with the killing of her family. But she just might fill it with friendship. Chrono is wise beyond his looks, and Azmaria hides great strength beneath a clumsy exterior. Maybe that's the great thing about this book. The characters on the surface just don't seem to fill the bill for heroes. But they do have a lot of courage and sometimes that is enough. I loved the humor of this volume and it's a shame it was mostly erased from the later episodes of the anime. On the other hand, some of the scenes in the book are a lot bloodier than the show. So there is a bit more realism in the drama. The characters, even the demons, are a lot more sympathetic. I would recommend the manga over the anime any day. Read this!

Tales From the Brothers Grimm

Ahh, what fairy tales really were!

Far from the sweet, innocent Disney versions our children have become accustomed to, the Grimm Brothers collected moral tales with a lesson. Papercutz, under their Classics Illustrated licensed line, give us "Learning How To Shudder", "The Valiant Little Tailor", "Devil With the Three Golden Hairs", and "Hansel and Gretel".

What I like about these 1996-2006 adaptations is the classical appearance of the projects. The art by Mazan, Cecile Chicault, and Philip Petit is outstanding. Textwise, if readers have not picked up the Grimm Tales and read translations, this may be the first time the `real' stories are available to the graphically oriented public. Hansel and Gretel is not the Bugs Bunny cartoon we remember, the wicked step mother dies before the children come home. The "Devil" is a tale of deception, almost like Adam and Eve. The really interesting thing about this story is that the King who wanted the young man who escaped death himself finds slavery!

"Learning How To Shudder" is a story of courage. "The Valiant Little Tailor" is our modern "Brave Little Tailor" in more detail. Courage and self confidence is the key to this story.

The Papercutz line is exceptional and deserves to be in every home, school, and library. If yours doesn't have one, make sure they do.

Thanks for a classy book Mr Nantier.

After purchasing volume two of Click on Tuesday, the only thing preventing me from buying volume three the next day was my lack of money. Luckily I had some coming to me, and so on Thursday I bought volume three. I continue to be impressed; it exceeds my expectations by a long shot.

The characters are becoming more and more interesting, and not what I'd expected; though initially I'd dismissed Taehyun as the annoying playboy who would eventually win over Joonha with his terrible wining-and-dining charm, he has grown to be a character I like quite a bit. Heewon, on the other hand, has sunk from being a potentially boring, too-timid girl clinging to Joonha forever to an infuriating meddler in his life -- which is still much better than being boring, even if I do feel the urge to yell at her character. And now Jinhoo is back and slowly becoming more interesting.

I look forward to volume four.

This volume is filled with surprises and turns. Exciting and touching. So many questions are raised? One of the best of its kind. Joohna is finally starting to look and act like a girl. Men are finding her intriguing as she begins to BE a girl (with those old male overtones at times as well).

poor thing, she's the only beautiful girl I've ever met without at least one designated duff friend, or even any friends at all. She does however have a nutty older cousin, and a goofy pretty boy stalker. Great for laughs, lovely scenes, and some surprising character depth...I'd reccomend it to anyone with a sense of humor

At first when reading this manga I thought, "Ok, so this is the korean version of Peach Girl right?" ...Right? Pretty girl is made fun of by all the other girls cause she's pretty. On her right is Maha Jang (if this were Peach Girl, he'd be the Kiley of the manga), who hangs out everyday after school just waiting to catch a glimpse of her. On her left is Jung Yun (in Peach Girl style, this would be the Toji), whom she's liked since middle school but he doesn't even give her the time of day!

Well this manga is on a different course than Peach Girl! The main character, Hye-min, for example, isn't as nice as she appears to be. Maha Jang isn't exactly what he appears to be either. And in this manga, nothing is what it seems! This manga has fabulous characterization. Hye-min's a great, really likeable lead, and how anyone couldn't like her crazy cousin Shin-Bi is beyond me.

The artwork style is whispy and plentiful with hotness! After reading the second volume today -- it's affirmed, I LOVE Cynical Orange. Anyone with a taste for shoujo (even though this Manwha, korean manga) will really get into this series. The day I began reading this, I had only planned to read the first half but I ended up reading the whole thing! It's funny, tasteful, and deep. Read Cynical Orange! It's addicting!
