An excellent introduction to images of space photography

It isn't the best possible book to cover images of space, at least, I don't think. Images from space could be found online quite easily, however the book does give some excellent background information, in conjunction with the photographs of important parts of space, and covers some excellent material of the subject.
The text doesn't appear like much, however it does give an adequate groundwork for which a fledgling explorer could easily look back on, for further persuit. For thise, it is an an excellent introductory piece to the subject of outer space.

I haven't found a referance as good as this book for Visual Basic 3.0. It is very easy to look up the various methods, statements, and properties found in version VB 3.0. This is a great book for any Visual Basic programmer to have. You can find proper syntax and use on every keyword in VB 3.0. Great book for the serious coder. Although the book is out-of-print and covers an older version of VB I still find it usefull (even with 6.0 out).

"The house lights dim, the music starts, the curtain rises, and the magic begins. Night after night audiences all across America are treated to the spectacle of young Christian kids putting their faith and religious experiences on the line in front of that glaring "Naked Spotlight". Admit it or not, that's a daring venture. After all, this isn't like sitting in Sunday School class surrounded by friends talking about how wonderful it is to be a Christian...and how everyone in the world should share this experience.
Standing on that stage in front of hundreds, maybe thousands, of nameless faces while being blinded by the spotlight is not a place for the weak in spirit. Taking a stand in that environment means "Telling It Like It Is," and baring oneself to all those who question or even express disdain for that philsophy.
I can't tell you how many times I've been a member of those audiences and have been thrilled, chilled, and even moved to tears by these young people who sing their hearts out time after time in an effort to share their Christ. That youthful zest and energy is invigorating, while the open conviction is convincing and infectious.
Having those thoughts in the back of my mind as I read through "What Do You Say To A Naked Spotlight", I was impressed with the idea that this book is not just the book of the year but the book of an era. It's exciting to see all these various music groups and young choirs popping up everywhere we turn. These recent years have been just the beginning of an era that is seeing young Christian musicians bringing a spark of life to their churches, communities, and in some areas, entire counties. People have sat up and taken note of the message as lives have been changed.
Because these groups have had such obvious and tremendous effect on their audiences and have potential for so much more I believe it's essential that all of them have an opportunity to read this book. I really dig this book! Steve Hilson is a guy I've known for several years and I honestly believe he's done us all a big favor by compiling this mountain of information.
I wish I could have gotten my hands on a book like this a long time ago."

Information from the scientific research community usually takes about ten years to find its way into medical practice. This delay, combined with the fact that doctors are not adequately trained in nutritional science, creates a serious lack of knowledge in the medical community. William Kent disseminates the latest scientific findings on health, nutrition, and especially disease prevention. It is an excellent guide for anyone suffering from asthma and other auto-immune disorders.

Samuel Robinson's Wizard Of Bars is a brilliant must read about an almost ignored disease that continues to plague our society... Alcoholism. It is the true story about a young promising art student who fell victim to alcohol while still in High School. Mr. Robinson takes the reader on a very intimate journey into hell from beginning to end. Giving a detailed account of all his torment and suffering. He does so with harsh candid language, that never lacks warm humor and humanity. He begins by describing how "the monster-- his term for alcoholism" beckoned him suductively, while still a teen. How it slowly begin to rob him of his gifts as well as his self respect. While a homeless drunk he explains how he got his moneker. He was exceptionaly articulate and persuasive, and had the uncany ability to talk almost anyone into buying him a drink. As a result, his peers (other drunks)started saying he was casting a spell on his would be benifactors and that he must be a wizard. The Wizard of Bars. Mr. Robinson gives, what reads as an almost effortless simple but triumphant saga of his many (for lack of a better expression)adventures. I laughed, cried, cheered, and in the end soluted this brave author...... I knew Mr. Robinson personaly, and in one coversation with him years after the book had been published. He explained how, many incidents were left out of the book because he was too drunk to remember them. With a smile he told me how his sister once asked why he did not put the pork chop incident in the book. When he asked her what she ment, she described how one sunny afternoon he was being chased by the police. Because it was so warm, she (his sister) had both her front as well as her back doors open to cool the house... While being chased Mr. Robinson ranned through her front door past the living room into the kitchen grabbed two pork chops off the kitchen table and commenced eating them while running out the back door with the police still chasing him.
I spoke with Mr. Robinson a few weeks before he passed, I was visiting my mother in Baltimore, Maryland where I grew up with his children. Mr.Sam as we called him back then was always a generous and caring father figure for those of us who didn't have a father in the home.
He spoke of new projects he was working on, and of his paintings. At the time in his sixties he spoke with a vibrance and exitement that I truly admired, he will be missed.
