I Love this book!! It opened my eyes to the Strengths and gifts that have been given to my Children. What seemed to be combative, distractable and completely frustrating behavior now not only makes sense, butcan further be developed into strength of charachter and focused into positive aciton, and will become great assets in the lives of my Children.

My wild, impulsive, stubborn, noisy, Know-it-all drama King has become Energetic, spontaneous, perservering, tenderhearted social, and Sensitive.

My compulsive, distracted, slow to adapt, full of fear, antisocial, angry, bossy and argumentative boy has become an unshakable, aware, steady, cautious, reserved, passionate boy who stands by his convictions and is devloping leadership abilities.

My Introverted, disorganized, impetuous, extreme, unpredictable, overly sensitive, too hard on himself loner has become Reserved, unconventional, quick, passionate, caring, conscientious, and independant.

My Children have not changed as of yet, (I'm, just half way through the book), but my perception of them has. Though I know that there is a lot of work and struggle ahead, the suggestions given to turn these character traits into strengths are easy to understand, and easy to impliment.

Thanks to this book, I have hope that my Ephraim's Children will Stand strong in these last days as Covenant keepers who are anxiously engaged in good works and God's work.

Parenting the Ephraim's Child is the answer to my prayers! The book not only explains my child's baffling behavior, but offers real, effective methods to work with my child's temperament. After reading this book I see my child in a different, more positive light, and now can see the strengths of my intense child. I recommend this book to anyone who feels that their child is somehow more challenging, but don't know why. I have gone through many religious books in my lifetime. But once I had got this book in hand I first and foremost considered myself the most fortunate person in this world. Actually no words can really describe what this book means to me. I never got around to any other religious book thereafter, such is the impact this book had on me. It has the rarest of spiritual knowledge. But Most amazing part is everytime I read it, I unearth something new, and everytime it is as fresh as the first time.

This book is not meant for just going through once and keeping aside, for me it is part of my life, or rather it made my life.

The book contains spiritual content as never read before and glorifies the purest of pure life as lead by the Lord Of Saints Dhan Dhan Baba Nand Singh Sahb Ji Maharaaj. It discloses pious incidents and teachings of our Great Gurus which would inspire every soul to lead a God Fearing life full of meditation and humbleness. I would recommend every soul seeking the Eternal truth to read this book and benefit from it.

If anybody is interested in South Indian Music, whether you are a beginner or advanced, this is definitely the book for you. Rumor has it that a paperback edition will be printed. I have not read such a good book on the subject of Indian Classical Music whether you just want to know the basics or become an expert.

The best music book I have ever read, and I have read a lot. It is suitable for everybody, the interested beginner and the advanced reader. It is very well written with a forward by Lord Yehudi Menuhin. It also has suitable comparisons between Western Classical and South Indian Classical. A must buy or at least, a must read. But why listen to me? Read for yourself and when you like it, remember, I told you it was good!

Emalee Chapman's Fast Italian Meals sits next to my out-of-print copy of James Beard's basic cookbook as my most heavily used and best-beloved cookbook. I learned to cook authentic Italian food following her brief, insightful instructions.

Many of the meals are designed for two people, and none of the recipes calls for more than a few ingredients. The majority of the recipes are light in calories and fat, and supremely flavorful. Chapman's recipe for tuna-tomato sauce is an 8-minute dream meal. Great pastas, salads, and light meat dishes. Wish this would come back into print so I could buy copies for all my sisters.

Major General Bob Scales may well be the Army's brightest light and this generation's successor to General Don Starry and Dan Morelli (who inspired the Toffler's book on War and Anti-War). First published by the National Defense University Press in 1990, this book reflects deeply on the limitations of firepower in limited war situations, and the conclusion is a telling indictment of our national intelligence community and our joint military intelligence community, neither of which is willing to break out of their little boxes to find a proper response to this statement: "The common theme in all five case studies presented here is the recurring inability of the side with the firepower advantage to find the enemy with sufficient timeliness and accuracy to exploit that advantage fully and efficiently."

MGen. Scales provides the world with a fascinating study of man's recent relationship to technology. I enjoyed the book and wrote many things in the margins. MGen. Scales shows how firepower was used and countered in the French and U.S. tials in Viet Nam, during the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan, during British actions on the Flaklands and through U.S. Army/Air Force combined operations against Iraq. Not dry or technical, this book weaves the moral aspect of war with the effects of artillery, naval and air-delivered munitions in a manner which would be clear to both the civilian and military professional. A great book for those involved in America's national and military strategy or foreign policy, for it illustrates what firepower has and hasn't been recently able to contribute to the foreign policies of France, the Soviet Union, Great Britain and the U.S. Invaluable to those seeking to understand why technology rarely triumphs over human will on the battlefield. I also recommend it to the casual reader interested in modern military history--MGen Scales fills his tactical discussions with stories of human interest from all sides of these conflicts. His discussion on Iraq, for instance, opens with a dramatic story from an Iraqi artillery leader about his experience at the receiving end of American firepower. My only disappointment is that his discussion of the Iraq war focuses on the U.S. Army and Air Force and to a point that almost discredits the contributions of the U.S. Marine Corps and Navy and the Coalition. Nonetheless, a worthwhile expenditure and a fine book to keep on the shelf.

This is the latest edition of a book that has been on the market approximately forever, and is used in a zillion schools and colleges. There is a good reason for this. While too challenging for novices, this is the one book you need to cover grammar in the broadest sense and vocabulary up through the advanced level. It is clear, straightforward, and is the benchmark against which others muct be measured. I was stunned to see that it was not carried by my local Borders.

If you need help in your French class, or you want to review over French grammar, then this is the book for you. The explanations are clear and easy to understand, the exercises are wonderful. This book will get you through the basics and past an intermediate/advanced level. This is an especially good book for tutoring and practice. As a French teacher, I often pull ideas and exercises from this book to help students better understand difficult concepts.

This is a work of great value. Not only does it clarify the meaning of some of the more confusing and disputed passages from the Geeta, but it places the story in the historical context of man's spiritual evolution. Without arrogance, condescention or fanatical intolerance, Yogi Mahajan lays out the truth of our spiritual path in simple words that carry all the sweetness and inspiration of H.H. Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi.

The book is a very light and pleasant read, especially for those familiar with the story of the Geeta. Still, I streched this read for as many months as I could just to savor every word of it. Thanks, Yogi Mahajan!

The author is a follower of a living saint and shows you the way to the Enlightenment. If you wish to unite with the God and enjoy the Divine Love, this book can open the door for you.

The charts in this book are what makes it so effective and helpful. Once again Gilbert's has provided law students with a great teaching aid and exam study guide. The questions in the back are very good, but beware 1L's in your first semester not having all of the information necessary to fully answer the questions.

The charts in this book are fantastic and are not to be missed! A must have for law students!

I just finished my Contracts final, but I will not blame my grade on this book.

This does what it is supposed to. It supplements the material that the Prof. presents in class. If you are not sure what the modern rule is, this is where you go. If you are not sure if there is an exception, this is where you go. If you are not sure what the basic functions of the rule is, this is where you check. If you are not sure what Restatement or UCC section applies, this is where you check.

If you want to know the reasons Why, this is not where you go. The book explains the rationale behind the rule in only a few situations. If you have an exam that is only multiple choice, you could skip every class, read this cover to cover three times and do pretty well. Unfortunately, most exams are not like that.

This book is great for supplementing your notes and filling in the gray areas. For that, it is invaluable, but like all commercial outlines, it cannot replace your notes.

As the previous reviewer says, the flow charts are excellent. This certainly facilitates understanding, I would just recommend not putting all your eggs in this basket.

I was so impressed with this book This book should be in all the schools. The Author took the time, and cared enough to make it simple for people to understand. Este libro y cassette es el método mas facil y eficaz para aprender Inglés basico y estudiar para el examen de ciudadania. La pronunciación fonética de este método es como leer el Inglés en nuestro propio idioma. Ahora entiendo el porque se nombra "SONETICA" este nuevo método. El cassette tiene una duración de 45 minutos y contiene las cien preguntas y respuestas en Inglés y Español. El autor tuvo mucha visión en dividir las 100 preguntas en cuatro segmentos de 25 preguntas y respuestas. Esto y la música que contiene el cassette, hace el estudiar el material sumamente menos aburrido. BRAVO Señor!

Otra parte muy importante son los Avisos Inmigratorios. Hasta mi abogado comento que esto es una idea muy buena. Esto da al solicitante en su propio idioma (Español), información muy importantes de la ley Inmigratoria.

Con este método pase mi examen de ciudadania la primera vez. Yo ya habia comprado otros libros, pero no me dieron resultado. El precio de $14.95 es una inverción muy minima y estoy seguro me traira un futuro muy positivo.

Les recomiendo HAGASE CIUDADANO y le doy 5 estrellas.

I was just beginning to read about Irish history, and was looking for a good book to start with, when I saw someone buying this handy little introduction. I promptly bought & read it myself, and wasn't in the least disappointed. I finished the book in a day, and yet, when I was done, I knew 10 times more about the subject than I had previously, enough to completely revise what I thought were my opinions.

This is a concise, well-written, and readable summary of the general course of Irish history. It's not quite "in-depth," but it's too thorough to be dismissed as a rough outline or anything similar. It's a sound elementary primer on a complex subject, and the perfect starting point for further, more detailed learning.

A REALLY GOOD BOOK TO GET THE GENERAL HISTORY OF IRELAND FROM A MORE OR LESS IMPARTIAL SOURCE. PROVIDES A VERY GOOD UNDERSTANDING OF THE SHAPING OF IRELAND'S PAST AND HOW IT INFLUENCES THE PRESENT.
