National Board of Chiropractic Part III Study Guide: Key Review Questions and Answers with Explanations by Patrick Leonardi
National Board of Chiropractic Part IV Study Guide: Key Review Questions and Answers (Volume 1) and (Volume 2) by Patrick Leonardi.
In fact, Dr. Patrick Leonardi's and Dr. Jeannette Gibson's study guides helped me to pass the boards. I advise getting these four study guides. It's better than taking these boards over again.
A great book, but not for Part IVReview Date: 2001-10-20
In conclusion, I recommend the Irene Gold review seminars. They may help more than this book will. It is a great book, but let's be real here, with the expense of Part IV National Boards ($850), it is cheaper not to buy this book and go to a review and get a passing grade, than to save in the beginning and fail the exam. That's the opinion of someone who used this book and studied in detail and failed the first time around.
4 Stars!

It is not the case that everyone should read this book, but everyone MUST read this book. This is a man who dedicated his life to fight the cancer of racism...and it is racism that killed him.
But his light is too bright to diminish, you will get to experience it when you read it...happy reading

One man's struggle for freedomReview Date: 2002-05-24
Malcom X started off in Michigan, where he was discriminated against mildly, and overall well-liked. He got along fine with whites whom he knew. However, one of his English teachers scoffed at his faked vision of becoming a lawyer. X soon moved to Boston to live with his half sister. He became a street hoodlum. It is at this point that the life of Malcom X begins to resemble a Martin Scorcese film. X rises in the ranks of the streets to become a well known hood. He begins to deal not only in gambling, but in drugs and theft as well. However, he also gets addicted to the drugs that he is peddling.
X soon goes to jail, where he converts to Islam. Upon his release, he spreads his new found faith all across the nation.
The scenes in jail exemplify exactly how the white man has mistreated the black man throughout the course of time. Not only does Malcom X's autobiography serve as an account of one man's life, it is also a survey course in the Islamic religion. I knew nothing about this religion upon reading the book, and I thought the idea of a superior race to be obscene. X does not convince me to loathe my predecessors and myself, but he does make the white man think about his actions.
Many whites claim that Malcom X acted out of rage. One needs only to read his autobiography to see that Maclcom X reacted as any other person would react: pragmatically.

Engineered To Simplicity, A Powerful BookReview Date: 2005-01-28
When you see some of the pictures of work the author completed, which is included in the book in full color, as well as pictures of works created by others, you realize that this is the work of someone who practices what he preaches.
Simple yet profound. One tip for example, is when cutting stock, cut it 1/4" oversize, then re-joint it, and re-cut it to final size. You know the problem of cutting a board, and the internal stress makes the board move a little. Then you have an edge cup in your piece. By cutting and jointing it twice, you eliminate that. What a great idea.
This book is made for the master woodworker, and the beginner alike. For the master; so they can compare techniques, and glean a new bent on methods, and for the beginner, because they can learn the simple truth of the best way of creating the right joint, using the best procedure.
I can't recommend this book enough. It makes for a great read, and a convenient reference guide, due to the fact that it is laid out so logically. Buy it you won't be sorry.

2 Thumbs up - Without a questionReview Date: 2008-02-23
There is a SHORT reference if you are in the market for a new camera. It tells you what to look for you so you don't over-spend, or buy something that doesn't suit your needs. It is a brief section, but very informative. There is also a short section on how to take better pictures. The author is using the philosophy that it is hard to produce good results with a poor starting photo (without compromising quality).
The book is, without a doubt, one of the most well written informational manuals I have ever read. I liked the book so much, that I now have purchased the "Missing Manual for MAC OS X Leopard" by the same author.

Full of crisp, clear, color photos that jump off the page, a writing style that is fun and easy to follow, and a layout that is second to none, there simply is no line of books for learning applications on the market that is better than the 'Missing Manual' series.
If you use an application (whatever it is) and you want to learn to use the tool in question, forget going online or taking a class. Either it will be a waste of time, money or both!!! Just look at the name of the app you are interested in, see if there is a Missing Manual book for it and BUY IT.
These books are that good, that impressive, that well written, and that well published. I put the highest stamp of approval on this line by O'Reilly.

AN ABSORBING TALE VERY WELL READReview Date: 2003-10-02
In this story we meet two men who would probably have never even taken notice of each other had it not been for a dangerous quirk of nature. The younger of the two, Nathan Carter is still in his twenties. He's come to Vermont following his father's death. When his jeep runs off the road during a blinding snow storm, 79-year-old Wallace Fiske becomes his care giver. But Wallace gives more than nursing, he tells Nathan his story which centers on his marriage to Nora.
Is Wallace embellishing the truth or is he relating his past life as it actually took place? When Nathan begins to try to discover for himself what really happened some half a century before he discovers a number of surprising things about himself.
Greene's absorbing tale is both entertaining and thought provoking.

Couldn't Put It Down!Review Date: 2006-12-21
From a micro sense, however, Put Old On Hold, touts and challenges readers to create their own assault on the aging process. It left this reader to put the book down - after first reading cover to cover - and take an inventory of my current herbal, vitamin and mineral supplementation (among other things like revisit my yoga exercise video library).
Moreover, setting my own personal healthcare biases aside, the most exciting message of Put Old On Hold is its ability to give hope. In this writers opinion, hope is a most important commodity in a world of faster, better, more. Instead, Barbara gives it to us straight from the hip in a practical, been there done that format.
Here's just a sample of lessons learned:
-The power of positive self- talk
-Secrets for "thinking" yourself young
-The honest truth about the illusion of retirement
-Key secrets to vitality, anti-aging and better living in a second lifetime
I believe anyone, regardless of age, will be excited about a future which may once have seemed uncertain after reading Barbara's book. Put Old on Hold will be reference I'll continue to use today tomorrow and 50 years from now. Thanks to Barbara, I'm not afraid anymore - If at age 74 the goddess of goddesses tells me I can be just like her, Bam! I'm all over it.

Benefits for any age!Review Date: 2006-09-26
One look at the cover and picture of author Barbara Morris tells you that she practices what she preaches and it works! From beginning to end, Morris not only gives great explanations and advice on keeping youth on your side at any age, but you will walk away feeling as if you had spent a few hours in the living room with your friend talking about how NOT to grow old. You walk away knowing that what she says makes sense and she believes what she says.
The author gives some down-to-earth reasons about why some people seem to age quicker than others. After reading her ideas, theories and hints on how not to grow old, you will surely walk away feeling assured that you too can "put old on hold." Morris discusses everything from diet to medicines and takes each idea apart bit by bit explaining why it does or doesn't work. She's not only spent plenty of time researching the ideas and techniques but also using them, showing her very young-looking self on the front smiling. There's no reason why you can't have the same results as she's had and walk away from her wonderfully thought-out and presented book ready to try it.
The best part of the book is that it's not for any one target group. You can read it and benefit if you are 25 or 75. Morris literally pulls up a seat in your living room and speaks to you as a friend and long-time acquaintance. You truly will close the book after page 201 and say "I really feel like this makes sense and I think I can do this." Whether you take on a couple of techniques and advice or all of it, there's no way that you won't feel a difference in yourself and your life after making some changes. Perhaps all you've needed to keep from growing old is someone to sit down with you and talk it out -- someone to point out the facts, thoughts and ideas that you may or may not already know but need to be reminded. Barbara Morris is the person to do it. She befriends you and makes you realize the realities of life, giving you the pep talk of your life. If you don't walk away more knowledgeable and willing than ever in making some changes to "Put Old on Hold" after reading this book, you never will.
A well thought-out, informative book that I'm certain will never be endorsed by the nursing homes of America! I for one prefer not to have to utilize their system if I can help it and after reading Morris' book, I think there's a real possibility of never having to!

A fairy tale and a description of Sweden in oneReview Date: 2005-07-25
What follows is a picaresque and description of the natural world of Sweden from the south to the north in terms of the environment, the animals and the life that they lead. The flock of geese is a matriarchy led by the experienced and assertive Akka. In his travels, Nils learns helplessness and helping others and has many adventures involving magic flutes, a castle with rats and an underwater city. He also learns respect and admiration for the animals and the natural world.
This is a children's story with some features rarely found in other books (such as the matriarchy and the focus on the natural without too much "magic" - although the animals do talk) which makes it memorable.
