I like this book because it is funny and makes me learn about dogs and cool places and how to do it in a dog race.I did not know you had 13 dogs. How can you feed them. I wish I had won the dog race but that would not happen.

This book was a good book but I think it didn't really tell that much about the Iditarod. It was about a musher and the dogs. She's doing the Iditarod and she goes around mountains and peaks. I would recommend this book because it has good illustrations and is about a lead dog.

In 1941 B-movie actress Estelle Lane is in the prime of her movie career acting in the movies she loves. She can't stand the leading man who has been paired up with her both on and off the screen by the studio. Jack, the new stuntman who's playing a werewolf is an unexpected treat. He makes her body hum even before they really know each other. Will she be as attracted to him when he reveals the true nature of his beast?

Marianne LaCroix puts an interesting spin on those old werewolf movies with this spine tingling tale. Estelle and Jack are a couple that will install hope that there's a special somebody out there for everyone.

PRIESTESS OF DESIRE by Mary Winter
Daphine's lifelong goal is to become a priestess of Zudiat. She only has to go through with the sacred ritual in which she will give Prince Sethe Cavelblood her virginity. Only one night is not enough. Daphine craves Prince Sethe's gentle loving. Sethe must find a suitable wife, but the only woman he wants is Daphine. Will he be able to convince her to give up being a priestess to become his wife and future Queen?

Mary Winter tells a hot tale full of a passion that transcends lifelong goals and duties. Both Daphine and Sethe have certain expectations placed on them that seem like they'd be impossible to overcome.

SUMMER LOVIN' By Shelley Munro
Sophie is on vacation in Australia when she meets up with her daughter's ex-boyfriend, Isaac Shepherd. At first she didn't recognize him and her body rejoiced at the thought of getting lucky, but the age difference and the fact that he dated her daughter means that he's off limits, doesn't it? Isaac has no qualms about dating an older woman and he'll take every opportunity to prove it.

You'll fall in love with this sweet tale from Shelley Munro. I always enjoy a story where age doesn't matter and this story depicts that fact beautifully. Is it just a vacation fling or is there something more and what is Sophie's daughter going to think?

INTERPLANETARY SURVIVAL EPISODE #495 by Tielle St. Clare
Katya's team has fallen behind in the interplanetary reality show race. If there's any hope of winning left, they'll need to go through the forest which belongs to cat-like people. To Katya's shock her team leader bartered a night with her in exchange for safe passage. Bach - the leader of the forest dwellers is furious that Jessup would `sell' Katya but he's also intrigued by the little spitfire who insists on honoring the agreement.

Tielle St. Clare captured my interest right from the beginning of this futuristic tale. Katya and Bach sizzle the pages with their emotional attachment that seems to form almost instantaneously.

ELLORA'S CAVEMEN: DREAMS OF THE OASIS 3 is here and I have to say it is a scorcher of a book. Readers will be treated to sexy stories by six of Ellora's Cave's authors in a variety of genres. This book is a prime opportunity to experience the heat that these authors are able to singe their readers with . . . and we always come back for more.

I found Ms. Winters can write as well as she can act. I felt badly for her father. Her family was a great support to her.

deliciously salacious!

My wife read me parts of this book while we were driving on a long trip. I found it very entertaining and well written, and am surprised that it is out of print already. One may not agree with her opinions and lifestyle, but she's had an interesting life doing it HER way, and is one helluva good writer.

Who cares if it's true or not?

This book is one of the most entertaining autobiographies I have ever read. I have heard many reviews saying how this book is full of lies, etc, but I didn't care. One of the first things Ms. Winters writes in the book is that this was her life how SHE remembers it, and that it may not be all correct, but people remember things the way they want. Take this as truth or fiction; either way it is a great look at a young girl's rise to fame in 1940s and 50s Hollywood. It gave me insight into the post-war Hollywood machine, and what it was like to be an up-and-comer surrounded by these big-name stars. Ms. Winters' style is casual, as if she was writing it to each reader personally. If any of this interests you, definatly get your hands on a copy.

A bigger than life talent, Ms. Winters was a mammoth personality. This biography successfully chronicles her many tastes and serves up a piping hot tribute to her gargantuan film legacy. Ms. Winters suffered no fools and hated juvenile attempts at humor. For that, I will always remember her fondly.

An outstanding show-biz memoir

Shelley Winters was one of the most outstanding character actresses of her generation. She was also a human - being of tremendous warmth, ambition, and moxie. In this chronicle of her early years she tells the story of her professional and personal life with a great deal of zest and flavor. She will not get an A for personal modesty or keeping the strictures of traditional morality, but she does get an A as being a person of great insight and caring for others. The story of her first marriage and those early years I found moving and sad.
A person who seemed to entertain in whatever she did-she provides here too a very entertaining piece of literature.

INDOMITABLE STAR CAN REALLY WRITE.

Though it can be argued that Shelley Winters has assisted in creating her own legend (her ego is the real star of both highly entertaining autobiographies), there is a real flair to her writing and her memory for details (even allowing for the usual embellishment) is impressive. Her place in cinema is probably in question; two Oscars was a bit generous and her seeming insistence that she deserved to win Best Actress for "A Place in the Sun" over Vivien Leigh's Blanche in "Streetcar" is merely laughable today. But she did produce an impressive body of work (and relationships) on screen and stage and deserves credit for being larger than life, a trait that some actress of today could take a lesson from. Ms. Winters takes pride in her work and the craft of acting, which is to also be applauded, and she never paints herself in an angelic light when not appropriate. Overall, these are among the very finest autobiographies of any kind, celebrity or non-. Is it too much to hope for a third act to these treasured volumes?

Bravo Shelley

I liked this even more then the firt memory book.
It makes a light on all of a period and point of view, I do like to read about words different of mine.
She is (was?) a hard worker, a survivor, and as she recognises in her book not always a nice person to be with. But I like her and was very interested in how she sees the world.

I absolutely loved this book. Shelley tells her wild and crazy story of an actor's life in the 1950's. This includes the intense and gratifying work of being an actress and the world famous people she worked with, socialized, lived with and loved. I can say that there is drama, tragedy, humor and love on almost every page. What an exciting life she lived and she's still a young beautiful woman at the end of this book. Buy this book today!!!
