If you are a public water supply manager for a municipality; the owner or operator of a water testing facility; a college professor of science; field researcher with undergrad or advanced degrees in biology, chemistry, environmental science, ecology, hydrology or other related field - and wish to dive to deeper depths in your professional water research - then I highly recommend this book.

The book has some real valuable information about the various visas and how to go about obtaining one. It also covers cases where one needs to switch visa status. The topics are well divided into chapters and the book is written clearly with great case studies. (It is also available in Hebrew).

I believe this book is one of the best reading materials for anyone who wishes to legally stay in the USA, for whichever purpose. It is highly recommended, even if you have an attorney or about to get one.

A readable and useable guide to touring five of Idaho's most popular wilderness whitewater rivers. Great B&W pictures, plus maps and narritive, as well as technical charts, graphs, and logistical information not found in other river guide books.

Jacques Cousteau was a fearless underwater pioneer who invented SCUBA gear, underwater living structures, underwater camera gear, and opened up the "silent world" to viewers everywhere. This picture book biography, which actually would please even high school readers, offers glimpses into his life, his courage, his passion for conservation. It includes a short index, glossary, even a recipe at the end, but no internet resources for the Cousteau Society or other affiliations that mark Cousteau's profound effect on the world after his many years of research and invention. It is part of a series, "In the Footsteps of Explorers" which kids would love. It is this reviewer's fondest hope that teachers in upper grades would let go of arbitrary page count requirements for book reports and encourage exploratory reading and reporting by older students using materials such as this fine, well illustrated book.

John Dawes' Book Of Water Gardens is a thorough and professional introduction and survey to all aspects of designing, creating, stocking, and maintaining a water garden. Included are prefabricated ponds, concrete and cement ponds, pebble fountains, and a variety of other water features to enhance the esthetics, appearances and functions of a water pond. The basics of pumps, filters and drains are covered, as is selecting, buying, quarantining and introducing fish. An ideal addition to any major garden or landscape design, the water garden is well within the province of anyone with a careful reading of John Dawes' Book Of Water Gardens.

A must buy for any Waters' fan, Ives' book provides much in depth information heretofore unavailable. The author interviews Waters at the subject's residence covering John's entire life. This comprises about 3/4 of the book. The remainder is interviews with surviving Dreamlanders and later actors and actresses who appeared in Waters cinematic canon. Additionally, many rare and unusual letters, stills, illustrations and ephermera are provided throughout the book from both Mr. Waters own collection and from the Weselyan University collection of Mr. Waters papers. Great fun and a essential addition to your bookshelf beside Shock Value, Crackpot, The Trash Trilogy, not to mention Divine's biography and the "witings" of Cookie Mueller. Selah!

I am so pleased with this item!!! I am an avid fan of Mr John Waters, and all of his works. My collection would not be complete, without this magazine.

It is soooo righteous! All of these photos of HIS HOME, his crazy crazy collection of weird vintage stuff. His porn, his literature, his knicknacks (his house is full of glass food!). It's just fabulous. Get it now.

If you DON'T know who John Waters is... but you like interesting voyeuristic ventures into a complete strangers interesting, flamboyant, original, awesome private home... then you too will dig this excellent bit of media. ;>

I had the pleasure of meeting the author at my university and picked up a copy of this book. The poetry is well-written and clever without being obtuse and hard to read. The subject matter mostly focuses on relationships of various types--on the impact people have on our lives, whether brief and intense or long and foundational--but everything is infused with a great sense of place and is very well described.

Caveat: I'm a biased reviewer as I read it frequently and have modeled some of my own poems from this and the work of David St. John. I think that's a recommendation too, though.
