The book was well written but the language was totally unnecessary. The content could have stood on its own without all the negative language.

This book got off to a decent start but by the time I was half way through it I couldn't read another word. The "clever" and contrived dialog and interaction between the unrealistic and exaggerated characters quickly went from amusing to annoying. Even as a satire it was just too much. If I hadn't known I was reading a novel I would have thought I was reading a script for a soap opera or a Lifetime movie. I think it's safe to say that Ms. Thorne-Smith is a better actor than author and should not quit her day job.

I am not a literature snob and love a good chick-lit novel and took it out of the library. I realize that the author really wanted to give this a go and had something to write about... but where were her editors??? Before the author attempts to write another novel, (1) she needs to learn how to write (2) needs coaching from an editor

Irresistible as on screen. Funny and clever writing. Congrats, Courtney. Readers need your mind on duty for a spin-off.

a great read. couldnt put it down. highly recommended fiction - an interesting and well written book which gives a peek into hollywood, from someone who's seen it at close hand.
