Absolutely Love Love Love this book! The pictures are fabulous and the costumes gorgeous! The designer did a terrific job!
I recommend this book to anyone who loves design. I would've loved to have seen more but alas I'll just have to check out
the website Star Wars Fit for a Queen, its combines both.

Great photos. NOT recommended for people looking for Episodes IV, V, VI costumes. A lot of this book is dedicated to Padme
Amidala and her handmaidens' wardrobe, but they had the most costume changes throughout the first 3 movies. The costumes are
beautiful and detailed. I love this book.

This book is a fabulous collection of photographs and information on the Star Wars costumes. The photographs show each costume
in great detail and discuss the making of each costume from the sketch stage all the way through completion. I would definitely
recommend this book! You do not have to be a Star Wars fanatic to appreciate this book.

This is a great book however, not every Jedi costume is covered. I find the photography great, but the book could use more
text as to how the designer arrived at the costume choices. I also think the book would be better if it had more concept design
sketches.

Each picture in this book is beautiful. Every costume from Star Wars is in here including how to make each costume. Its amazing
how beautiful most of the costumes really are especially Padme, Padme's Handmaidens, the Queens of Alderaan and Naboo and
the Jedi. Buy this book and it'll make you want to go out and make each costume yourself.

I purchased "Dressing The Galaxy" since I already had "Sculpting The Galaxy" and really enjoyed it.
Dressing The Galaxy gives you a nice inside look at the costuming process from initial design, fabrics, ect. Who knew so much work and research went into make the costumes for Star Wars. Nothing was off the shelf, all made by hand.
A nice read and if you have the Limited Edition set with the DVD and samples of fabric, a piece of Darth Vader's Cape (fabric swatch), and Wookiee piece you are in for a nice treat. Well worth the credits for this item.
Now I can only hope the next set they do would be "Arming The Galaxy" I would love to see the work involved with all the weapons, armor, ect that are in the Star Wars Universe.

I bought this as a gift for my wife who being a costumer and a Star Wars fan both, it seemed like a no-brainer. I have never
seen her so excited before. The included materials are impressive, the presentation is impeccable. I was flabbergasted by
the amount of material swatches included. Although it's her book, I'm just glad I get access to it whenever I want... mostly...
What an awesome book.

I was so excited when my package arrived and couldn't wait to open it.
What i got is an unbelievable box that holds a mass of little treasures, beginning with the little piece of Darth Vaders Cape and continuing with the book itself, the fabric samples or the also included DVD.
Everything is done with so much care for the details and you also get a certificate plus a little card with your book's collectors number. I don't regret my purchase at all. Even though it was a lot of money, it's totally worth it for every fan of the Saga who doesn't just like the ships, battles or lightsaber-fights. Also i have a little suggestion - be careful carrying it around - it is really heavy :)

Ever since I saw Episode One I have been fascinated by the costume designs of the Star Wars universe and finally here is the
book that shows just how special these costumes are. With large photographs of the costumes and detailed close ups that show
the attention to detail.
Finally my time in a galaxy far, far away has an end?

This book is above and beyond excellent. From the way that the book is packaged, presented and written, not to mention the
tangible supplements that are exclusive to this edition - such as the cloth swatch from Darth Vader's cape - what a thrill
it is to actually own something that has literally been a part of the Star Wars universe!
This book is highly informative, insightful and entertaining.
Packed full of sumptuous photographs, illustrations, fold-outs, cloth swatches and an exclusive DVD - ANYTHING a Star Wars fan or those with only a passing interest in film costuming could ever want.
This publication is a must. It is simply an absolute joy to behold and a treasure trove for one and all who read it. I'm sure it is destined to become a crown jewel in many a Star Wars fan book collection!
I cannot recommend Dressing a Galaxy enough - go buy it, and May The Force Be With You!

I THOUGHT I KNEW EVERYTHING THERE WAS TO KNOW ABOUT NATALIE. WRONG! AFTER READING THIS WELL-WRITTEN BOOK, I REALIZED HOW LITTLE
I REALLY KNEW.
BEST PART: HER EXPERIENCES AT HARVARD.
I'VE READ A LOT ABOUT NATALIE, BUT I'VE NEVER HAD HER EXPLAINED TO ME, AS THIS BOOK DOES SO WELL. NATALIE SHOULD GIVE THE AUTHOR AN AWARD OR SOMETHING.

I found this book to be nothing more than a high school-level book report on magazine articles and newspaper clippings. The
fact that Dickerson himself admits that he hadn't really taken an interest in Natalie Portman until the year 2000 shows that
he does not speak from any privileged vantage point. He is not privy to any special information about Natalie that would
draw any intelligent reader's attention, nor does he offer any keen insight into things that even the most casual fan of Natalie
Portman's would know through pop culture and the media. The fact that Dickerson fails to get substantial information from
those closest to Natalie proves not only that he is irresponsible, but he lacks authority to speak on Ms. Portman as well.
Shame on you Mr. Dickerson

I was really disappointed. A lot of the book is based on speculation about her background and no one knows for sure what is
fact and what is fiction. The author seems to have some sort of obsession with the young lady and her sexuality and her apparent
envy of another child star Britney Spears because she (Britney) became famous before her. He gives absolutely no evidence
for his reasoning and it reads like a tabloid magazine, and really it's quite creepy that a grown man would dwell on it so
much. He goes on to say more than once what a noble thing it has been that he has waited so long to reveal her real name,
that by not doing so would go against freedom of the press, yet it's confusing to the reader because he apparently has only
been aware of her for a couple of years. I literally feel guilty and sick for buying this book and supporting this guy. It's
highly disrespectful to both Natalie Portman and her family.
Shame on you, Mr. Dickerson. Shame on you!
