Just recently bought the book lastweek. Haven't finished the book but so far I think it is better then the first one. Part one began slow for awhile until the characters stories get started.

One part that I love about this one so far. Is some of the cities mention in Tennessee and around Tennessee. Like Johnson City which is like twenty minutes from me. Not finished with the book again but truly a great book hope they at least come out with one more

A good book about people fighting for the right and defending the weak. I like the growth the characters are going through. The friendship of the main characters is well written.

This book is loaded with excellent exercises and illustrations for the martial artist to give a strong, lean appearance without sacrificing any flexibility or speed. I purchased my copy when it came out and have followed many of the exercises over the years and they have helped me a great deal. Most can be done in a small hotel room using only a chair and a belt as equipment!

Good movie, bad music.

Review Date: 2008-01-08
The movie is good, has nice action scenes, the terrorists are bad but not as bad as the real ones (well this is a pre 9/11 movie) so I could give this movie 3 stars; however, the music is horrendous, it sound as a Saturday morning GI Joe cartoon. It makes you not to care for the characters because it reminds you that it's just all fictional and that the good guys are going to end up killing the bad guys and there is not tension in it. If this type of music wouldn't be in the movie, or even if there would be no music at all, it would be better. The director should have put this music only at the end credits, that's it. So because of this music, and being generous, I give this movie two stars.

Alan Sylvestri is a good composer but I think, this is one of his worst jobs.

May the Delta Force be with you!

I have not seen this movie in a long time but if there is a movie that has action from beginning to end it has got to be The Delta Force. Chuck Norris and Lee Marvin are two no nonsense men that free a plane load of innocent passengers from a group of terrorists. Also in the cast is the late Joey Bishop who also did a wonderful performance. The movie's story line is as true as today's headlines. Action, energy and pure excitement..these words define The Delta Force!!

The only way Chuck gets only 3 stars is when he's weighed down by a mutant mullet and Lee Marvin's eyebrows

How is it possible that a movie as promising as Delta Force gets only three stars from Sid the Elf? All the elements were there. On the cover, you have the stars of the show(Chuck Norris and Lee Marvin with special appearances by Chuck's uber-mullet and Lee's eyebrows that looked like wings in case his head decided to fly away) holding bazookas, undoubedly poised to blow some terrorists to bits. Unfortulately, that's about as good as it got. The plot followed no logic and we, Sid the Elf, have no respect for those who have no respect for logic. The first explosions after the opening credits happened about an hour into the film. If it's Sid, he says that move doesn't have it. Nobody is watching a movie staring Chuck Norris and Lee Marvin to see an enthraling plot and good acting. We want to see 128 minutes of non-stop explosions, cool guns, people being thrown off stuff, neck-snappings, and roundhouse kicks out the thing. It's a real easy formula. Whoever made Delta Force 2 had the recepie. Delta Force was just lacking. It pains us, Sid the Elf-because we love Chuck and think he's as much of a one man wrecking crew as the next reviewer-to say NO DEAL to Delta Force.

Great Chuck-a-roo movie

Nonstop action, plane hijacking, dangerous terrorists all equal Chuck Norris to the rescue. Chuck Norris is part of the elite Delta Force led by Lee Marvin. On the other side is Robert Forster (Jackie Brown) who is the leader of the New World Revolution hijacking an airplane out of Greece on its way back to America.
Chuck Norris and Lee Marvin lead the Delta Force to quickly subdue the terrorists and take back the airplane. Classic movie about bad terrorists as the illness and Chuck Norris as the cure! Not knowing that the terrorists have added more onto the plane, Abdul (Forster) has passengers with Jewish names taken off the plane and taken to a prision in an unknown location not known to the Delta Force. Can Chuck, Lee Marvin and the Delta Force save the prisioners taken off the plane? Will Abdul be able to carry out his mission of getting back at America? What will happen to the passengers taken off the plane?
Who cares about the medias potrait of Arab terrorists or Israel looking good and so fourth. To me this is just a movie. Everyone has a right to their opinion however. I just see it for what it is...a movie.

After Entebbe's detent, the entire world could validate with stupor that horrible fact. Delta force, following the traces of that horrid experience, availed this occasion to carve in relief the death of ideologies had not dead. And so, these new "Dirty Dozen" risking their lives could rescue and neutralize this coward and abominable attempt.

The film is filled of action, and a well supported cast: But, despite of the big budget, the script has its holes (After all, Menahen Golan is not John Frankenheimer); on the other hand, the predictability of the end and a lack of depth about the surrounding circumstances around. Here we have to make a clear distinction respect Munich, for instance, in which the ideological conflict and the unstoppable action are not divorced.

But, in case you want to enjoy a kinetic film, here you have: the main ingredient.

I bought this book as a gift for my dad who loves Westerns and likes to read. It was great to find one that was interesting, yet I didn't have to worry about the language it contained. My dad got it one evening and had finished it by noon the next day! I ordered the sequel for his birthday!

this is a 5 star novel not a 3 1/2 like you are giving it. I hope that the Norris's write more great novels. Chuck Norris and hi

"The Justice Riders" succeeds in its efforts to create colorful characters and exciting action scenes. The book could be interesting, but it fails badly in the area of character development. Ezra Justice and his motley band of raiders fail at various levels to seem solidly grounded in reality. They, of course, take themselves seriously, but some readers may struggle to believe that such people truly exist anywhere in the world. Ezra is intended to develop spiritually during the book's course yet fails miserably in that area. Yes, Ezra learns a few lessons, but generally by being suddenly told, not through the natural progression of the book's plot. An additional concern for some readers, especially Southerners and those who strongly believe in the rules of just warfare, is that, while Ezra briefly questions the consequences of Sherman's March to the Sea, his concern is the bitterness it might cause, not that plunder and arson are war crimes, committed by war criminals. At any rate, readers who appreciate high-quality literature may want to avoid this book. Though in different hands it might have potential, "The Justice Riders" as it is reads like a dime novel.

Captain Ezra Justice has been put in charge of an elite task force during the final days of the Civil War. Their mission is to wreak havoc wherever they can behind the Confederate's lines. The more confusion they can create, the better the chance the Union has of bring the conflict to a conclusion.

Even after the war is over, their job isn't done. There are pockets of resistance left that refuse to surrender. One of these is led by Mordecai Slate. His path seems to cross Ezra's on multiple occasions.

Ezra's current mission, however, is to help with the transportation of prisoner of war. Most of them are weak or sick from their times in the Confederate's prison camps. They are so close to returning home. Yet major danger lurks in their way.

I am not a huge Chuck Norris fan, but have caught a few episodes of his TV show. This book reads like what I know of the show. The emphasis is on the action, and there are several great action scenes. The characters are a little short, but they are still interesting. The line between good and evil is clearly drawn. The story, while interesting, could have used some better focus. The time in history came to life, and I enjoyed the focus on a little known historic event. This is obviously a first novel, however, as the writing is weak.

Some more polish would have made this book much better. Hopefully, as the series progresses, the flaws of this debut will vanish.

I wish I could give it zero stars

This book is, simply put, a crime against humanity. It's very offensive. An Indian that shoots arrows while everyone else has machine guns? An Irishman that drinks and a proper British sharpshooter? The stereotyping is ridiculous.
Aside from that, the writing is just terrible. There were four people credited with writing this thing and not one them said "Wait a minute, this is terrible"?
I suppose if you have no taste in literature whatsoever and like racism, this might be an okay book.

Winning Tournament Karate
Is an excellent book for People interested in learning more about traditional Karate. I think Chuck Norris has done an excellent job with this book. Ignore any bad reviews.
However I think there could have been a lot more to this book.
Mr Norris explains techniques very clearly and his combinations are excellent. Chuck Norris was a 6 times World Karate Champion so I am sure he can teach Karate to a very high standard. Anyone who doubts this should visit Chuck Norris Karate Academy in Texas. Buy the book you will learn a lot. I do hope Mr Norris writes more Karate Books & Maybe books on Bagwork Padwork Mixed Martial Arts and stretching. Chuck Norris holds a 10th Degree Blackbelt in Tang So Do and Tae Kwon Do as well as a Purple Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. And Mr Norris currently trains under Carlos Machado.

This book, written by Chuck Norris in 1975, the year he retire from sport karate competition, has very little to offer the karate student. The book doesn't have much material in written information, but instead, relies on still photography to teach the karate student certian sport karate techniques, such as entry techniques and striking drills. Overall, the book is a very weak presentation on point fighting.

I highly admire Chuck Norris and if one would rather read books authored by him they should read "The Secret Power Within" or his autobiography. These books are informative and at times, insightful. If someone is looking for a good book on sport karate and how to improve their sparring skills, I highly recommend the superior book "American Freestyle Karate" by Dan Anderson.

Martial arts books have come along ways since Chuck Norris penned this book in the mid 1970s. Nonetheless, there are still some good things in it that can motivate the reader to seek out more on the subject.

For example, there is Norris's red-line drill, which is still an excellent training method to push the karateka beyond what he thought was his top speed. He also touches briefly on mental imagery, which is arguably one of the top training methods used today by top athletes in virtually every sport. Lastly, Norris illustrates, with plenty of pictures, his concept of blitzing, that is, charging straight in and launching a hand or foot technique every half step or so.

This is still a good book worthy to be in every fighter's library.

I caught onto the whole Chuck Norris Fact bandwagon a little bit late...or so I thought. It wasn't until this all started that I realized many of these facts were rehashed from the classic recurring Saturday Night Live skit "Bill Brasky". I like Chuck Norris but the facts in this book can never hold a candle to the facts of Bill Brasky.

K, for all the Chuck Norris fans here. i'm watching a girl fap on cam while i write this review so i apologize for the 'tardedness. The "writer" takes too much credit for what he's done. sure it was his idea but alot of what's in this book was submitted by others. Sure he even has the balls to say he claims it the moment it was submitted to his site but at least give the real geniuses behind the whole thing SOME credit. The only people who are gonna buy this book are the people who submitted things to see if they made it in there. and maybe a few people (like me) who just enjoy the whole Chuck Norris fad/meme/epic lulz. The douche proceeds to write a story which is filled with nerdness and a meeting with chuck norris (well twice),

Bottom line, if you enjoy Chuck Norris jokes get this book. if you don't like supporting douchebags then avoid.

Its A Fact THIS BOOK IS AWESOME!

This book was written by a man that now peddles cigars and also owns part of several casinos in Las Vegas and even Moscow, Russia - and conflicts with "A Fistful of Kings", a recent book that was written by a former employee of his "enterprises". I don't know whether Mr. Norris is all PR or for real, but even his picture on the cover seems self serving.

I really enjoyed reading this book! It told me so much about Chuck Norris' life, and what's important to him, like helping kids to stay away from drugs. Reading about his family life was really interesting, and sad, but how he dealt with it was even more interesting. Definitely a great book!
