Kudos to chris paice for this outstanding book, which had me enthralled from start to finish. I found the parts about the Information Retrieval Colloquium particularly exciting. Chris Paice is incredibly perceptive and his theories about array retrival methods in the 4th dimension are particularly mind-spazzing.

Hugh Callaghan was convicted of the Birmingham pub bombings in 1975, along with 5 other men, and was sentenced to life imprisonment. He was also completely innocent of every charge brought against him. This is his story, from his upbringing in Belfast and later life in Birmingham to the night that changed his life forever. It tells about the fitup, the kangaroo court trials, the police brutality, the life in prison, the refusal for many years by anyone bar a few people to believe in the innocence of the Birmingham Six. It is a damning indictment of a "justice" system which would rather a quick result than the truth and does not care about the people it destroys in the process. It is also a story of hope and of how the world can be changed when there are enough people doing it. This book is a must read for anyone who cares about true justice.

This is a fun book that would be a fine introduction for kids who have just gotten a pet Cat. It has Cat lore, world records, trivia, & some fine pen & ink drawings of these fascinating felines. Questions like, which cat caught the most mice in his/her lifetime? Why do Cats purr? What Cat was the most expensive in the world? What is the main difference between Cats & Dogs? Did you know that Cats have thirty teeth? Twelve incicors, four canines, & fourteen molars.
Did you know that Cats generally have a preference for being left pawed? But, they are usually very ambidextrous. Where did Persian Cats actually come from? Turkey when the ottomans ruled both lands, while the breed was made popular in Europe in the 1600's & were known as "longhairs in the USA until the 1960's. Did you know that female cats are the best hunters? An adult Cat can jump about five times its own height. The fattest Cat in recorded history was Himmy, a male tabby house cat from Queensland, Austrailia. He was almost forty seven pounds, & measured thirty three inches at the waist, & was thirty eight inches long. Even non-cat people will very likely enjoy this fast read book.
