I can not rate this book highly enough. Guzik carefully catalogs every major library and record source in NYC. WAY exceeded expectations for me. And I can't believe how inexpenisvely priced this is, given the excellent binding and packaging. A real must have.

The 5th updated edition of The Genealogist's Address Book is a special resource perfect for any library which sees regular traffic in genealogical research: it includes the national addresses of archives, government departments, agencies and vital records offices by state, lists of libraries and religious research center - just about any US agency needed to conduct research. But this isn't all: special resources include newspapers, microform publishers, surname registries, adoption registries and much more: all packaged with an easy state-by-state alpha arrangement. There are over 16,000 resources here, assuring all kinds of researchers will find this of interest.

I've been studying Georgian for a while and have always been frustrated by the poor quality of the Georgian-English dictionaries available. (Beware Hippocrene!). This is the first one I've encountered that approaches the standards of professional dictionary design that you find for the major dictionaries in other languages. There's room for improvement--it could use some grammatical tables, more explanation of the infamously complex Georgian verb system, and more examples of usage to give you a better sense of the various shades of meaning of particular words. But one the whole it's excellent, and the quality of binding and paper is unusually good. This is not a pocket dictionary, but a professional reference work. If you're serious about working with the Georgian language, this is an essential investment.

I like the dictionary and the way it is set up. I would rate the quality between Hanz Zahn and Hamblock and Wessels. This dictionary complements both, a worthwhile addition to your library.

When I was in high school I got the first edition of the excellent book. Now as a college student I picked up the second edition and it is as good, if not better than, the first edition. Like the old edition it is still divided into two parts. The first part is a strategy guide with lots of useful tips for finding scholarships, writing your application, negotiating for financial aid, and even specific tips for specific scholarships. The rest of the book is a scholarship directory. It looks like it contains more than the first edition - although I didn't actually count. The presentation of the scholarships are better than before and I found it easier to find awards for my major and career goals. Overall, I am very happy with this book. Although there are sections for high school students I feel that I have benefited as a college student. This is a valuable resource that I highly recommend.
