Once I started, I couldn't put it down, and found myself in the early morning hours laughing hysterically at the characters in this thoroughly enjoyable book!

I was truly blown away by the content of this volume. I must say that I was and still am an earnest seeker of truth, so in stumbling across this work was not a coincidence. I couldn't put it down. Something rang true on every page. In those nights and days of my first reading it, I could literally feel heaven closer to earth, or maybe I was drawn closer to Heaven. A light was ignited within my soul that could not be put out.

I`ve read many books on spiritual matters such as "Conversations with God" by Walsch, "Love without end" by Glenda Green, ACIM and many many more, but these Padgett messages have caused my soul to dance with joy like no other messages before or ever since.

Furthermore they are interesting to both the intellectual (re-)searcher of spiritual truths - whether he is interested in life after death, spiritual phenomena of different kinds, angels, the concept of God, or the creation of mankind - as well as to the religious person who desires to learn why a loving God "permits" cruel wars or what the true reasons were why Jesus, the Father`s most beloved son, died on the cross.

And above all else these two books deal with the WONDERFUL LOVE OF GOD and the EFFICIENCY OF FAITH AND EARNEST AND SINCERE SOULFUL PRAYERS AND LONGINGS FOR A CLOSER NEARNESS TO AND A LIVING PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH OUR HEAVENLY FATHER.

I enjoy listening to guided imagery, and have quite a few tapes and CDs. This one is one of the best! A wonderful tape.

Even thought I'm a longtime practicioner of Wicca, there are times when a frazzled Witch has trouble tuning in to "Mama" This CD comes in handy for quickly and reliably connecting with the Goddess, and is general enough for practicioners of any faith or view. I sometimes listen to it in a herbal bath for the ULTIMATE relaxation Womb experience after a freaky day. (Please, be safe w/electricity and make sure you're "propped up" in the bath)
I haven't yet tried this one on my husand (Pilot, science-minded skeptic & sometime guinea pig/but he DID marry a Witch!)but it should be fun!

This two part CD is extremely interesting and totally relaxing to listen to. The first part brings your mind and body together as one. It is a nice prelude to the second part of the CD. The second part of the CD allows you to consider other alternatives theories to our existence and our capablilites as humans on this plane, we call earth. It also gives you an appreciation of the beautiful world surrrounding us and the ultimate joy and calm it can hold for each of us,if we just take the time to develop the consciousness to enjoy it. This CD is a wonderful, peaceful interlude to the hectic pace of our lives today.

Alright, I know this review is LONG, but I have to say it all. I have had 2 Janet's CD's on my Amazon wish list for a long time, but couldn't justify the purchase. I mean, I have heard enough hypnosis CDs that have NOT been worth the money, and mostly downright disappointing. I didn't want this one to be the same. I finally took the plunge and ordered "Becoming the Goddess" and one other.

Can I just say I love her voice? Okay, I love her voice! Most hypnosis tapes drive me COMPLETELY INSANE with my random thoughts fighting themselves about, "forget the person's annoying voice, focus on what they're saying...oh what are they saying?...How much time have I wasted now....OKAY FOCUS!" But, with Janet's voice, she is so natural and yet soothing that I can just "go" with it, no effort. She's not trying to be calming and soothing, she just IS.

The first time I listened to "Becoming the Goddess," I was so surprised (read: jaw dropping amazement), because I "saw" everything in the meditation before she described them, and exactly as she described them (except for the color I was wearing). Only that one minor detail was different. That simply blew me away, because it was as if I REALLY was there, or was experiencing a past life that I truly had. In just a few sessions of the CD, it has already deepened my personal spiritual practice, and has allowed me to tap into a greater wisdom as I help others. I can't wait to see what happens as I continue to use the program.

Spiritually I don't relate to traditional patriarchal religion, and so her meditation connects me to the feminine divine in a way that I was missing, and looking for, on my own. If that describes you too, I'm pretty confident you'll like this one.

For those of you with a lot of mind chatter like me, I appreciate the LONG induction present on this CD, because it is long enough for me to let go of the chatter and concerns of the day (no small feat!).

The first hypnosis/guided meditation is a prep for the second hypnosis/guided meditation. The second one is really the "STAR" of the CD. It is already creating a new transformation and evolution in my growth. I look forward to my daily session of meditation now, and can't wait to see more changes in myself.

I hope Janet does another one of these CDs, but once the meditation leads me to the circle of stones, to just have quiet, and let me "travel" on my own for a while, and then bring me back. That way, it could be different "journey" every time and allow me to bring back my own messages and wisdom.

Okay, -"phew!"- Enough already! Just treat yourself to this CD and enjoy the transformation for yourself. You and those you touch can't help but be changed for the better! I mean, who couldn't use more love, wisdom, compassion, confidence, empowerment,patience, and being the living embodyment of the Divine? Count me in!

This CD, "Becoming the Goddess", by Janet Decker is a really powerful trance meditation that assists women with getting in touch with their inner Goddess archetype. It's amazing. The first meditation concentrates primarily on feeling the Great Mother archetype of the Goddess and that is a good introduction to the whole concept. But, the second meditation is absolutely amazing. It's like the Goddess, the Celtic Anu (achetypal representation of the maiden aspect - female power, independence, etc.), is channeled from on high. I've used this meditation for almost two years now and the psychological transformation is complete. Women need to have images of the Divine as female in order to understand the legitimacy of female power, beauty, and independence. Without that image firmly implanted in our minds, any outside changes are only temporary.

A set aside: Janet Decker's meditation is good to use in conjunction with Starhawk's "Way to the Well". You can obtain it from Serpentine Music online. Starhawk's "Way to the Well" is a trance chant meditation that assist a woman in gaining personal power from within by using the archetype of the Goddess Brigid. I believe that if a woman uses these meditations on a regular basis, she can achieve anything she wants.

I read Divine Abundance because attaining abundance and getting what I want seemed to be an elusive dream. Since it has been done by others I figured it is worth pursuing. Happy to say that Aileen Nobles describes exactly how. It's not just wishful thinking. The key is in how to control thoughts in harmony with what you want, which basically involves thinking about it, getting excited about it and believing it is with you now. Aileen masterfully describes this basic concept with some the tools and knowledge of laws of the universe to change old ways of thinking into allowing thoughts work in our favor. She simplifies understanding of the process of "the secret" to divine abundance which makes it easy to tune into your "inner wisdom" to create the life of your dreams. As I read this book I began a transition from thinking in my usual way to practicing my new tools of thinking. So far I have manifested some of the items that have been on my wish list for years.
I have read other books written by Aileen Nobles and visited her website. She is a metaphysical healer who freely and modestly shares her gifts of insight to the world to those who seek such wisdom.
Aileen has been in practice over the past thirty years helping people turn their lives around to allow them to become happier, more productive, creative and spiritual. Aileen has another book about intuition and EFT (emotional freedom technique). She now uses EFT almost exclusively because of the astounding results she most often sees. EFT is good for releasing fears, sadness, and anxiety which are blocks to allowing divine abundance and the happy, higher, valid self we were meant to be. I am working on myself this way now with pretty amazing results. - Kathy

For some reason I had low expectations when ordering this, that all came to a end after reading the first chapter. Mrs. Nobles had to have been spiritualy guided when writting this book. The real life examples and the way she explaigns things is leaps and bounds above any other book of its class. Mrs. Nobles pointed examples and explanations have literaly changed my spiritual life and perspectives.

This is the most comforting and loving self-help book you'll ever read.

This book helped me a great deal to see how I am actually in control of my own destiny and happiness. It has allowed me to move forward with an new positive outlook on life. This is a very enjoyable read and I would recommend to anyone willing to open their potential for a more full-filled life.

I have spent more than two decades in this area, and Ms. Noblesý Divine Abundance brought me surprising insight into why my affirmations and visualizations have not always worked. Previously, I did not understand that unless I have the agreement of my conscious, subconscious, and superconscious - even though consciously I wanted something very strongly ý I would not be able to visualize it into happening no matter how much feeling I put into them, and despite the repetition.

Divine Abundance gave me great clarity and enabled me to work with clearing the hidden agendas I didnýt even know I had. Now I feel I have agreement to bring about my dreams and I am beginning to create my reality with my thoughts. The biggest blessing, after all these years of trying, is that now I am finally seeing results ARE happening. Thank you Ms. Nobles!!!

I found some sections of the book relatively boring, however, the book as a whole I found very interesting. I recommend not purchasing the book, and just getting it for free from your library or just going to your local bookstore and reading it over a period of 2-3 days. I finished the book in 2 days, and it is a fairly easy read.

I have long been interested in the connection between science and spirituality. I've read David Bohm's works and watched "What the Bleep do We Know?" So when I heard about the Divine Code I immediately started reading it and finished it within one day. I was inspired and energized to live a more fulfilling life. For all the skeptics out there who don't believe in anything that we cannot perceive with our senses, hear is a resounding answer. The power of gratitude and positive thinking is supported by scientific experiments as this wonderful author elucidates in this easy to read book.

Murakami concludes that life is such a miracle that it must be the product of "somthing great." He briefly touches on the possibility that we have a soul and reincarnate.

I was inspired to search out new information on the soul and reincarnation and a friend recommended
"This Side of the Gate" by John P. Johnston.
It's a fascinatingly fresh look at these concepts and adds insight into what Murakami speculates on. These new books have inspired me once again to rededicate myself to the spiritual quest.

here is a great quote from page ix: "A recent experiment I led, which I will describe in detail later, found that laughter significantly reduced blood-sugar levels in diabetics after meals" WOW

It is not uncommon to find top scientists revealing an interest in religion or spirituality later in their careers. Sometimes it has always been present, as in the Nobel Laureate John Eccles, but in others it appears as a sense of wonder as they learn more about the machinery of the Universe. Kazuo Murakami is a world-class geneticist who seems to fall into the second category.

The book begins with some very basic descriptions about genetics. He then moves on to a description about the fluid nature of genes. He is quite correct that most are switched on and off depending upon environmental conditions and, most of the time, most are barely functioning. He also talks about the apparent transmission of genes between sexual partners and the inheritance of acquired characteristics. All this is true, and part of a revolution in our understanding of how genes function. It was long assumed that most had to be fixed little programmers, because how otherwise could the structural and functional integrity of the body be maintained? But things are not quite so simple. I think that I may have been the person who coined the term "The Dancing Genes," to describe this strange paradox.

We then get into the third section, where he discusses some of his own research that appears to indicate an effect of positive psychology on gene expression. It was this that so impressed the Dalai Lama at a meeting in Dharamsala, India, some eighteen months ago. We already know that stress can inhibit the expression of a gene involved in the synthesis of acetylcholine: one of the key players in many cognitive functions and in Alzheimer's disease. So it is entirely plausible that positive mental states may do something good to our genes. In a study of people with type II diabetes, he found that laughter was associated with an apparent change in the activity of 23 genes. He does not mention in the book that these were 23 out of 18,716 genes that were screened. Naturally that rather changes the impact of the findings. Nonetheless, the research is interesting and needs to be replicated by independent researchers, so that we can better understand it.

He finishes with some suggestions for producing mental states that may perhaps have positive effects on our genes: have noble intentions; be thankful and keep your thoughts positive. Nobody would dispute the value of those sentiments. Though it is also important to note that there is research that has failed to find a correlation between some of these factors, the risk of getting sick and quality of life and survival from some cancers.

In summary, it is great to see a world-class scientist explain in simple terms that biology is not destiny. And that he is in awe at the hidden order of the universe. He certainly goes beyond the data when he makes suggestions about how we should think and live. There's nothing at all wrong with some speculation, but for people not familiar with the field, it's a bit difficult to work out what is fact and what is speculation.

But if it turns out that he is correct, the implications for all of us will be extraordinary.

This book does a wonderful job of driving home one simple but very important point: the importance of gratitude. I know there are many books out there on the power of belief, but this author posits the idea that our genes actually respond to an attitude of gratitude, which is a new idea to me.

This book gave me a mixture of the shivers and hope. Love is, after all, a fickle thing at best. But this eloquently told story of "twin souls" finding each other under the challenging eye of reality, kept me glued. Vigil is a talented weaver of the heart and disturbingly, of the dark. HIGHLY RECOMMENED.

I enjoyed the book immensely, couldn't put it down. It really held my attention and I couldn't wait to get to the next chapter!!!

I just recently read this book. It is very well written. The story flowed all the way to the end.
I was very impressed the way the book kept me interested all the way though. I just couldn't put it down. I learned a lot about obsession and how it can consume you and send your life into a downward spiral. Plus how it can effect other peoples lives. Great reading I highly recommend it.

I just read the above review of DIVINE REVELATION by Publishers Weekly, and I must say that whoever wrote this review is very prejudiced and close-minded. The scathing comments about the author are completely inaccurate. Obviously the reviewer did not even bother to read the author's biography in the back of the book.

I read DIVINE REVELATION a few years ago, and I still use this simple, practical way to communicate with God directly. This book completely transformed my life. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to lead a more spiritual life and have direct contact and experiences of God.

One of the most important features of this book are the nine tests that helped me to tell the difference between the true voice of God and other voices in my mind. I have found the author's nine-test program is unparalleled among metaphysical authors.

The affirmations and prayers for spiritual healing are extremely useful for getting back to center whenever I feel "off." I use these every day, and they have been a life saver for me.

I made a guided meditation tape using the instructions in the book, and I found it really helped me get the experience much more deeply.

I rate this as one of the top five spiritual self-help books that I have ever read.

Although I do not necessarily agree with everything the author presents in her book, I love it. After more than 20 years on a spiritual journey myself, I found the writing to resonate with me at this time. In my perception, she offers a cross of guided hynosis/meditation incorporated with the idea of still meditation; waiting to hear what spirit has to say. After all my seeking that is what I have come to find...we all have a connection with Spirit and we spend so much time seeking outside of ourselves. If we allow ourselves to be still enough we can make a connection, where life will never be the same. She also writes beautifully, it is evident that her experience with Spirit shows through her writing.

So often in my life, I have had that nagging feeling in my "gut" that I should, or should not do something. Too often I did not listen to that little voice (or as some call it "intuition") and later I had to live with bad decisions.

DIVINE REVELATION was a revelation of sorts for me, confirming that we are provided with spirit guides, certainly the guidance of our most supreme master, God; each who help us with every day decisions, if only we will listen.

DIVINE REVELATION was also "divine" for me and has helped me to finer tune-in that which each of us are surely blessed; that little inner guidance system that ensures that we will succeed or be saved from anquish. I now listen carefully!

It is beyond my imagination to find such a scripture in such a simple language which contains the total philosophy of all the ancient Indian scriptures and extensively covers all the devotional aspects for a sincere seeker of God. I have no words to explain the beauty of this divine book. In this age finding such a book reminds me the verse of Gita "Yada yada hi dharmasya ...".

Of all the many books I have read on spiritually, religions and philosophies of the world, by far this book is the most profound. I can not say anything meaningful to describe this book, only can I express a deep sence of awe and gratitude. Hinduism is a great and boundless philosophy. For the most part, it is totally misunderstood. H.D. Swami Prakashanand Saraswati expounds on its totality in only 438 pages with a beautiful style and simplicity. This book, however, not for light reading, is extremely easy to read with clear concise sentences. It has a large index and glossary for those wanting to truly study this subject. On a scale of one to ten, this book is simply beyond, beyond.

This book is a jewel. It is a virtual encyclopedia of the Divine world and how to attain it. Every question is answered from the creation and dissolution of the universe to attainment by a soul of the very highest Divine abode, Vrindaban. As a Divine Master, Swamiji speaks authoritatively on the soul, Maya, God and the Divine abodes and their Divine personalities. He describes the Divine Love path to God, Raganuga Bhakti, and supplies guidelines for sincere aspirants. Anyone who absorbs and takes to heart the contents of this book is a very fortunate soul.

In The Divine Vision of Radha Krishn, Swami Prakashanand Saraswati brilliantly provides the entire truths and secrets of devotion to God, in an easy to understand format. His writings, based on the eternal Hindu Holy Scriptures, discuss the practical path to understanding and realizing God. Swami Prakashanand explains the intricate science of the soul, maya (cosmic energies), and God. He reconciles the Hindu philosophies and reveals the path to God: Bhakti devotion. As is explained, Bhakti is simply devotion to a single form of God with a pure desire to realize God's love. Furthermore, Swami Prakashanand describes his American Ashram, Barsana Dham, and the events that have taken place there. He has established the largest Hindu temple in North America to promote love and devotion to God. I highly recommend The Divine Vision of Radha Krishn, not just because it is very clear and concise, but because the knowledge provided is practical for any person desiring God's love--no matter what religion or culture.

This is one of the most incredible books I've ever read! It thoroughly and clearly explains all I wanted to know about the evolution and meaning of life, the world, Saints and Divinity, and how to find God in this lifetime. In fact, it contains so much more than I could have ever imagined - I'm amazed that such extensive knowledge has been clearly given in one book. It helped me to realize how commercialized and distorted most of the Eastern philosophy has become that is expounded in the West. Above all, I really value the simple, sincere devotional knowledge that the author has shared by writing this book.

The genre of "Spiritual Memoirs" seems to be a fast-growing one and in that category comes "Everyhing Matters, Nothing Matters" - a book that really stands out from the pack.

Why? First is that there's no formula here - there's no: "Follow my 10 Spiritual Steps and in 10 weeks achieve the enlightened life you always dreamed of " here. Instead what is here is the author's story written with honesty, abandonment and clarity, which leads to the second point - This is a fabulously well-written book.

Gina is writer, first and foremost and she writes with a sheer joy for language that is abundant on every page.
