Excellent book that shares so much that is hidden from mainstream society.

Where's the next one? This book is so awesome. Everything from the character development to the historical facts right down to the discriptions of places I'd only heard about! This was a page turner and one that kept you on the edge waiting to see what happens next. I look forward to reading more from this author!

I enjoyed reading this book very much. The characters were colorful. I looked forward to finding out what they would say next. I found the inside information about Wicca to be very enlightening. The historical details throughout easily transported me to a different time.

The story was believable with a stretch of the imagination. Even my concerns about the "source humans" were answered by the end of the book. It's the kind of book you would want to read many times.

A tale that captures interest and keeps you in the moment, feeling not only the emotions of the characters but also the lives they are living. Filled with rich historical detail, the book educates without interrupting the flow of the story. Also check out Durham's second book, Walk in the Light, a story that catches the reader up in the life of Rachel Calhoun and the Revolutionary War with a personal story of growth and discovery. Another historical jewel.

DURNHAM IS AN EXCEPTIONAL STORY TELLER, I COULDN' T PUT THE BOOK DOWN.

The Laughter Lifeline is a great resource on the "Fun"damentals for giving a really successful presentation. The book provides an excellent delivery of guidelines and examples on how to effectively incorporate - as well as appropriately select - "good humor" for your presentation. You will learn ways to engage your audience so that you can impart information while actually enjoying the presentation experience yourself! The author not only has a way of making you look forward to your next talk, but she also provides you with a well organized core of jokes and quotes that cover a wide array of topics. You will find yourself keeping this book handy and quoting from this book when you are preparing your next presentation.

I have Deepak's book 7 Spiritual Law of Success which is really one of the best book ever (I buy it for everybody as present), but this is the first time I heard him and it was wonderful.
I recommend this CD to everybody.

If you enjoy Chopra or Dyer you will love this audio program. Recorded live at a unity church, it captures the two of them in uniquely inspired moments summarizing the best of their parallel philosophies on life, God and metaphysics. I've read and listened to much of what Dyer and Chopra have produced and this is probably the best thing either of them have put out because it so beautifully summarizes the essence of spiritual philosophy. I bought 15 copies just to share with friends and family. A must for your listening library.

Almost 45 years ago, me and some relatives had this book as a guide to learn pure and beautiful british English.
We would appreciate if there is any hope to get it again. Unfortunately, anyone of us lost it and we all miss our key book.

I was taught English as a second language when I was 10-11 years old. Me and my sister were lucky because we had a tutor who used Living English Structure as a guide. We enjoyed the book, because it is full of examples.

I am now 40 years old and voluntarily trying to help children around learning English. The first book I recalled is the Living English Structure but after so many years I doubt. Nevertheless, I am still lucky. Because there is the Amazon where me and my husband like shopping from. Amazon gives me the hope to find the book although it is obviously out of print.

I really love this book. Its something a little different to put on my coffee table and I enjoy looking through it often. The fact that a husband and wife team created it is touching, and the charcoal artwork is fabulous.
The work really is setup in the format of a children's book, however it is much more mature, and it would take an adult to understand the complexities of the story. The main character has a great deal of depth, and as the reader, I grew to feel that I understood and cared about how she felt. The artwork and the storyline fit together like a hand in glove, interweaving and playing off of each other. I recommend it highly.

This was one of the most enjoyable books I bought for myself this year! In format it is almost like a graphic novel or manga, but differs somewhat from those genres. It more resembles a picture book, text and illustration on each page, but aimed at adults instead of children. The three seperate stories are wryly humorous and wondrously inventive, and the illustrations are lively and expressive. Ms. Allen is almost scarily adept at the small witty detail that speaks volumes, not unlike Mr. Feiffer's own keen yet sensitive line in drawing. In fact I marveled at how beautifully Mr. Feiffer's drawings and Ms. Allen's stories complemented each other. My favorite of the three tales is the middle one, "What Happened", the tale of two rival writers of children's books. But I loved them all. My only complaint about The Long Chalkboard is that, despite its generous size, I wish it were longer! I'm hoping there are more books like this to come by this talented duo.

Louisiana Creoles: Cultural Recovery and Mixed-Race Native American Identity

As I read this book, I was constantly taking notes. It gave me a more indepth look into my culture as it incorporated the American Indian history and identity of our many, different ethnic backgrounds. I definitely recommend this book to all readers of multiracial background interests.

This book is a must read for all Creoles! Jolivette really gave justice to all the misinformation that has been said of Creoles. Race as it has been applied to Creoles has been nothing more than a political concept that ignored the true culture and Jolivette really explains how culture should be of more importance than race. The book clearly provides evidence why Creoles deserve their own separate ethnic category and why we must preserve our cultural legacy. I think it's very wrong for the government to attach labels to people without letting them self define and we're supposed to be a free country? I once had a dark skin friend from Honduras who told me that I would be considered a Creole in his country! I would hate to think I would get my true identity in a foreign country but not in my own! I also don't understand how the Native American contribution to Creole culture can be ignored when New Orleans always had the Mardi Gras Indians who they honor from their past relationships. I think the Mardi Gras Indians should've been mentioned in the book but overall Jolivette shows how the Native Indians contributed to Creole culture and each ethnicity( French, African, Indian & Spanish) deserve equal attention. I'm more proud to be Creole now because I kind of strayed away from the Creole culture due to society pressure to just think in black and white. And now with the internet I can reach out to other Creoles. I also recommend watching the film Spirit of a Culture: Cane River Creoles.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is in a relationship. I had blamed my ex-husband for my marriage not working and hadn't gone out with anybody in 12 years. After reading this book I realized mistakes I had made and took another chance in dating. I couldn't be happier now. Thank you Allen!

This is a comprehensive textbook which covers in detail most of what an aeronautical engineering graduate interested in low-speed aerodynamics will find useful and handy. This is not a book for the novice but for those with good engineering and mathematics background seeking in-depth knowledge of the design and operation of aircraft flying at low Mach numbers and marine vehicles.

For the target audience, the book is well written with clear explanations and sufficient detail.

Comprehensive in both theoretical and numerical presentation. The authors show how to model invicid, incompressible aerodynamics using pnael methods which are based on potential theory. They also show how to incorporate viscosity inside the boundary layer. I found the book's detailed treatment of panel methods for unsteady aerodynamics particularly useful. Most textbooks only show the steady state case. The book is very practical with very good description of algorithms. At the end of the book, you can also find sample programs developed by authors' students.
