Excellent book in many ways - well arranged, many clear photos on high
quality paper. Gives specifications, applications from 1960s to current for
American trucks and cars, with background information you do not find in any
manual. Includes useful glossary, and formulas. Great value.

This long-needed reference is filled with information and tips from the experts on differentials and axles. It covers everything from tools to inspection and repair, from minor upgrades to competition set-ups, from muscle cars to off-road, with everything inbetween as well. I especially appreciated the many photos that help in identification and disassembly/reassembly, as well as the "easy to understand" writing style. "Differentials" is a bargain at list price, and a "must have" for those of us who love our vehicles.

Clear pictures. Organized by clinical specimiin, then by organism (Sputum: yeast, G+, G-, GV, etc), which works very well. Keep this one next to you at the scope. It especially helped me in reading my poorly stained smears.

This book is a concise and well-organized collection of excellent photomicrographs. As a student of clinical microbiology, this atlas has helped to reinforce my ability to discern subtle detail in gram stain interpretation. It is a handy little book and a good reference for bench work.

My son enjoyed reading the story and the math component as well. It is easy enough for a beginning reader, and yet it can keep their attention as well.

Where do we come from and why are we here. This book deals with the origin of mankind and the creation of this world in dreams. I'd not recommend it if you do not know other Seth books, and also not if you are looking of ways of how to improve your life situation (get Nature of Personal Reality in that case). However, it's excellent if you enjoyed Seth Speaks and Unknown Reality.

This book should be required reading for ANYONE wishing to stay (or become!) healthy! Easy to understand, well-written, extremely informative!No fad gimmicks here! (Did we REALLY think we could lose weight and get healthy by eating GOBS of FAT? ) The emphasis here is on HEALTH, not losing weight; and REVERSING disease, such as diabetes and heart disease. I've had the PRIVELEGE of hearing Dr. Diehl speak and this book is a wonderful map for showing us his simple path to HEALTH! I'm buying more copies to give as Christmas presents to people I really care about. READ THIS BOOK! It will change (or even save!) your LIFE!

No one knew that the British government way back when was really so strained for new ideas. Their colonies were prosperous, pillage was rampant, but they were so bored on the homefront that they started writing fetishistic stories about navels. That's right, as odd as it sounds, this is one of those missing-from-history-books episodes in a glorious tradition. My 8th Great Grandfather was a Palatine. This book taught me more about my family history than I could ever find elsewhere. The book is a well written history book which as an interested party, I couldn't put down. If you are related to Palatines, I think you need this book !

Although in better health than their parents' generation, today's aging generation is still likely to face an inevitable condition that will result in most adults needing some sort of institutional or home health care in their elder years. This book is, in fact, the result of just such an experience, both from the personal (or primary) and professional caretakers' experiences.

In short, the book is packed with a wealth of information that can help anyone in any stage of caregiving.

I was browsing through a Half Price Books store a couple of years ago when this book caught my eye. The detail and insight astronaut Joseph Allen provides almost gives you the sensation that you're floating beside the astronauts on the shuttle, but he never dives too deep into minute technical details that would make the journey dull or boring. However, the photos are the book's real centerpiece; it features over 200 large, full-color photographs that document spaceflight from Project Mercury to the Space Shuttle.

I'm an Aerospace engineer, and I hope to become an astronaut one day. This is the book I reach for when I'm in need of some inspiration.

Joe Allen has a great eye and this inspiring collection of phototgraphs from space, many taken by Allen himself, is a treasure. His commentary is intelligent, human and humorous. A keeper for sure.
