This is an amazing book, not to be taken lightly as the cover suggests. The writing displays a certain amount of eloquence that only a brilliant writer like Harold Segal could pull off successfully. Thank you, Harold, for this essential piece of literature.

Carlo Collodi's moralistic tale excels by its fantastic fantasies.
The bad habits of its main character, like inveterate lying, credulity, naivety and the exploitation of his weaknesses by bad friends are unnerving but extremely moving, even when the outcome is expected.

Written for young kids, the book ends naturally on an optimistic note.

Marvellous entertainment, not only for children.

If your children like books and Disney, they will love this collection! We received this as a gift. These are workmanlike adaptations of, or excerpts from the movie of the title: just the right length. My kids enjoyed ( and still enjoy) them, whether or not they actually saw the animated film.

I have a copy of this, this book is absolutely amazing but I have no clue what this item is worth, anyone with knowledge of this please let the amazon people know!

A truly beautiful book.

This is an inspired reading of one of the great children's books. It is also available on CD, produced by Recorded Books, but Amazon doesn't seem to have it.

Who among us doesn't love the story of Pinocchio. In this delightful book you can share this timeless tale with your little one. The illustrations are true to life and very colorful. I especially love the one of Pinocchio's nose with the leaves growing out of it. How cute is that? And of coure it is always heartwarming when he becomes a real little boy.
A tale that can be shared over and over again awaits you in this read. Share it with a child you love.

Lovely tale with the superb Walt Disney pictures that make our children's
imaginary world so very cozy and beautiful!
Many thanks to the companies that are still printing these timeless classics adults too love to reunite with: with a book, we can talk to our children about the story along with the story, go at their pace, and expand the universe the story gets us to! DVDs have their good but books can never be outdated! Both are needed and they have a very different usage from each other!

This is probably the best narration on any of the several books on CD that we've listened to. Adults will appreciate the quality of the narration as well since they will probably have to listen to it many times. This series (Young Reading CD Packs by Usborne) is very good - great narration and well illustrated, smaller format books. The price also seems very reasonable (usually $9.95). Highly recommended.
