Dinosaur Books

This is a great book for any young child who loves dinoaurs. My son is able to draw his favorite dinosaurs after reading this step-by-step, easy to follow book.

The book arrived on time and as pictured so I would order from this seller again. But on a side note: Even though the item itself is cheap the shipping cost will get ya!

This book/CD-Rom offers a great introduction to dinosaurs. My 5 year old loves it. Within the book are descriptions, quizes, and worksheets. I photocopied the worksheets so that we can do them more than once. The CD-Rom surpassed my expectations. It contains fun, easy-to-understand, games and printables that are presented in an encouraging way.

This is an excellent book on dinosaurs for the pre-school/Kindergarten and early/new-readers age groups. Pre-schoolers and Kindergarteners will enjoy it for the pictures. Children new to reading will like the large type and relatively simple sentences. I highly recommend the hardback version because I am replacing a paper-back that has received lots of use.

My five-year-old twins love this book, as do I. I've seen a lot of dinosaur books, and this one stands out for its vivid illustrations and informative, well organized text. It gives just enough detail to provide a good overview of dinosaurs, and covers just about all the topics young kids could want to know. A couple of the pictures are a bit scary for the kids. This isn't a book we read at bedtime (for that, I highly recommend "I'm A Big Brontosaurus" if you can find it, with its lots of friendly dinosaurs and only a couple moderately fierce ones). But this is still the one that really got my kids interested in LEARNING about dinosaurs and the differences among them.

If there were space to include photos of my child using this book, you would be sold on it, no doubt. I don't have to say a word, or even read the text, actually. I simply open the book, hold it in front of my son's face, and he does the rest. "ROAR", he says, and instantly, we're both smiling and laughing as he becomes a dinosaur. This book is perfect for picture time, circle time, or play time. Pick it up, let your child look at him/her self in front of the mirror and watch as their imagination soars and their roars grow louder and more fierce with each turn of the page. Use it yourself to get started!

I, a five year old, and my Daddy spent some time looking at this in a store. We loved the organization of the information, especially a chart that showed how the different types of dinosaurs (and birds!) evolved from each other. I can hardly wait to get it.

This book helped me to learn about different dinosaurs when I was a child and would recomend this book to parent of young children. This book is easy to read and also easy to understand because it uses language and relates things in a way children can comprehend them.
