Alice in Wonderland Books

This calendar is beautiful! Buy it if you'd enjoy seeing Lisbeth Zwerger's wonderful and unique interpretation of a classic story. Her use of line and color is masterful, as usual!

I bought this because I am a Lewis Carroll fan and enjoy Alice in Wonderland. I agree with the reviewer who said the artwork is "spare". There is not much detail in Zwerger's watercolors.

The art is disappointing. I guess this lady draws pictures for Christian books or something. If you want to see better Wonderland art, look at Arthur Rackham for example, not Lizbeth Zwerger.

Lisbeth Zwerger might be a good illustrator for six year olds, but adults tend to find her pictures boring. Her work is fine for children's books, because her art is never complicated, and doesn't distract kids from the story. For any adults who would actually use this calendar, it seems to be missing something. Maturity perhaps? Don't buy this if you are an Alice in Wonderland fan. If you work for a nursery school, it is a safe purchase.

I have been a long time fan of Lisbeth Zwerger and no, I am NOT six years old (see below). Any adult who can appreciate Zwerger's sensitive attention to detail and magical color interplay can see her for the true artist she is. Any of her books or calendars would be a welcome addition to my collection.
