GREAT BOOK!!! You should read it, too. I did...it's fang-tastic!
Harry's owners got a new puppy and they left with it. Now poor Harry has to sleep over at Barkley's -with the bully Sweetcakes. Just to get more attention he starts to tattle tail -on most of the dogs at Barkley's. But when he tells on Sweetcakes...well you'll have to read it yourself.

My 2-year-old daughter LOVES this book. The picture of the kids dancing and the page where we sing "happy birthday you you" are her favorites. The illustrations are so big and colorful they're a joy to look at.

In this holiday tale, the purple dinosaur and his sibling friends BJ and Baby Bop are celebrating the Christmas season. As the three friends make cookies in the kitchen, Baby Bop excitedly asks if they can make their presents now.

Barney makes a wooden truck for BJ, Baby Bop draws a snowman for Barney, and BJ decorates a sock puppet for his sister. As they put their prettily wrapped packages under the tree--wondering with anticipation what could be inside--they gaze out the window at a winter wonderland. Snow has covered the pine trees, and squirrels, rabbits, and birds scurry about.

BJ notices that the snow has covered all their food--including a frozen bird bath--and the three dinosaurs get a super-dee-duper idea! They make garlands of apples, strings of cranberry and popcorn, and other holiday treats for their furry friends.

Showing that giving can be just as exciting as receiving, the friends enjoy their presents to one another--but also the warm feeling that their gifts to the animals provide.

A heartwarming holiday tale with beautiful color illustrations, Barney's Christmas Surprise is a great Christmas story to be enjoyed at bedtime--or anytime!

I got this book for my son about 2 years ago. He's 4 now and still likes it at Halloween time. My 1 year old also enjoys reading it. We actually got Halloween decorating ideas for our house from one of the pages in the book--my son wanted his house to look spooky like Barney's and we went and got similar decorations and hung them closely related to the way Barney had them. The kids were thrilled and had fun! I'd recommend this book for fun Halloween reading for the young ones!

A wonderful story about how Bartholomew the mouse was little and tiny when HE thought he was. But when HE began to believe in himself, he was as big and important as any of the other creatures in the forest. An important message about self image for us all.

I have ordered all of the books published form this Author and found her to be a very wonderful author. Ms. England seems to really know children and what makes them happy.

My 11-year-old daughter brought this book to my attention. It is extremely attractive, and includes seven message-taunts (complete with decorated envelope) that went along with the practical jokes! These envelopes make reading the book quite an adventure.

Even though the book is listed for ages 4-8, I would recommend this book for older readers who have a good sense of humor. Overall, my daughter and I both thought that this was a great book, and we both recommend it to you!

I bought this adorable book for my 2 year old. Its of course very sweet and has pullout "valentines" that Raggedy Ann has made for all of her friends...some of which are stories, riddles, and even a board game to play (candy hearts and not included). Although its a bit above a 2-yr old's level, my daughter still enjoyed the story and thought that pulling out all of the valentines out was a blast. Raggedy Ann fans (big or small) will certainly not be dissapointed.

I bought this book for myself because I love teddy bears. Once I read the book I feel in love with it. The story is wonderful and the message the bears left inside the presents is the best Christmas Gift anyone could give. I wish everyone had the bears spirit of Christmas all year long. With all the trauma going around the world everyone should think about the message of love and the real meaning of Christmas.

Simply looking at this cover and allowing its color and vivid animal-cartoon emotion will tell you much of the "story" of this book, it's pure gloriousness comes from the combination of humor in the poetic words from Karma Wilson or the sweet-amusing illustrations from Suzanne Watts and the fun-thoughts gleaned from the words and illustrations.

My 7 year old read this to my 3 year old and I listened in.

I am not sure who got the most out of it - we were all engaged for our own reasons. The frog (a croak-in heart... I couldn't help but start singing in a country twang with that one) the cat's meow "The one I love the most? Me, myself and I", "sealed" with a kiss - now think of two seals kissing....

Just how wide is your smile right now? That's exactly why you need this book, to get it even wider and to evoke that laughter wanting to spring up from your belly
