This is a must have for any professional involved in Power Quality. Not only are all the topics covered, they are explained in a way that is easy to read and understand.

This is a very good handbook for not only power quality professional,but also electrical engineers. With well organized chapters, it covered comprehensive knowledge of power quality and relevant experience of authors. I really hope it can be translated into Chinese and let more power quality professionals share this valuable resource.

I have recently asked some electrical engineers to recommend me a good book concerning Power Quality. Each of them gave me two or three recommendations and only "Electrical Power Systems Quality" by R. C. Dugan, M. F. McGranaghan, S. Santoso and H. W. Beaty appeared in all recommendations...
Indeed, it seems to me to be one of the best books about Power Quality I have ever read. It is very well organized, complex and up-to-date, and above all it is very useful for my research project as it offers clear descriptions (understanding) of all, important Power Quality issues. I would recommend it as a kind of compendium for engineers, designers and researchers that work not only with Power Quality but also with modern Electric Power Systems in general.

Sure we all have those looseends--what to do? READ HILL'S book for the answers you never thought of before. And who knows? The answer won't be what you mihgt have thought, yet Great Literature always sneaks up on you that way, right? Think of Dr. Williams' stories--and then don't--Read Hill's stories now, or you might find yourself at more of a looseend than you thought!

I'm just a bunny with writer's block, and I'm flatso at that, but even I know that this is the best book of the decade. It calls for living without preconceived ideas about how life should be lived-but it's not a preconception of how life-it's...well, you'd do well to read this book, and listen to Owen if you really want to find out.

Whoops! Looks like I forgot to say that Loosends is by far the boffoest book at Slamazon.slop! I loved every word, although, hack that I am, I wouldn't know quality from the stuff that comes out the back of a dog.

I've been using this guide in Southern Africa for the last 6 years, and it's never let me down. Great book for those traveling to the region, but keep in mind that most guides at the wildlife parks will already have a copy, so you could save the weight and space in your luggage.

Have not actually been to southern Africa yet, but plan to do so next summer. I have been an avid birder for 3 decades, and it looks like the format of this book will be very useful for my trip.

Beautiful men, beautiful settings,and a beautiful book...and the eyes of the models...wow!

As my title suggests, this was my first exposure to Bel Ami, and I will be going back for more. This book is packed with beautiful photos of 30 of Bel Ami's most gorgeous models. Though some boys are better-looking than others (and more well-endowed), I wouldn't kick one out of my bed for anything. Instead of just nudes, Bruno Gmunder shows us these boys as they play and frolic. Many of the photos are hardly pornographic at all, but by showing us these boys as they play, Gmunder maked it all the more titillating when the clothes come off, and come off they do. As the other reviews mention, this book is glue-bound and soft-cover, so I had to handle it very carefully, especially given the repeated browsings. I especially enjoyed the focus on Johan Paulik and Lukas Ridgestone toward the end, who are definitely two of Bel Ami's most beautiful models. Great formatting, dozens of adorable boys, good variety in the photos, and the frequent smile add up to an indispensible collection. Overall, it is an extremely satisfying book, and one that will certainly not be thrown out when I have to clear some of the books out of my already overcrowded room.

How does Gmunder manage to produce such outsanding books? OK, this one is soft-cover and glue-bound so it will need a degree of care in handling. Nevertheless, the paper is first-class, the images are bright and clear, and the layout outstanding. Another reviewer has described this book as sumptuous, and he's right.

All of these models appear in a range of images, mostly nude, but some clothed. The clothed pictures are still incredibly sexy. There are some couples and a few groups. Each model is introduced by name so you can keep track, or search the Bel Ami videos for your favourite; don't forget, though, that this is 'the book of the film', so you can hunt the Amazon sites for the video/DVD.

It's difficult to express the sheer joy that shines fron each page. These guys really are happy, and it shows. The photographer has managed to put a catchlight in every eye, and they truly sparkle. There is a cheeky sense of the child in each of the models; a sense of freedom, willingness to share (you wish!!), and exuberance.

Buy this book. You will NOT be disappointed (unless you only like to look at muscle freaks),

Nice for those who are familiar with first generation Bel Ami models. Lukas, Johan, Ion, and Daniel Valent are the highlights here. There are photos of other not as attractive models that kind of spoiled it for me, but this book was a nice trip down memory lane.

If you're a fan of Bel Ami, then this book is for you. It's a hardback book with beautifully photographed images of the Bel Ami men. I would recommend adding this book to your collection.

This book has been reprinted several times since 1996 and now is available in hardcover for the first time. "Intimate Friends" features all of the most famous and popular Bel Ami models like, Johan, Lukas, & Ion Davidov. It's a beautifully designed book, with all of his handsome nude young men in living color. All of these models who appear in his videos plus prints are very handsome and in the prime of their life. I think Bel Ami has been a true pioneer in presenting us with some of the best looking European men ever to be photographed and published in America and worldwide. He enjoys an almost cult status now. If you're a fan of the Bel Ami stable of models be sure and have this wonderful book in your collection. We would all like to have "Intimate Friends" in our lives who are this handsome and beautiful. Highly Recommended!

I bought this for friends of ours who recently moved to Iowa (go figure). She has let me know it's the best book on the subject. They spend lots of time in the wide open looking at cows. So I guess you can't get a better reference than that!

Sara Rath really gets deep and into her writing in this book. I enjoyed every bit about it. I thought i knew just about every thing there was to know about them being as though i was raised around them my whole life. I would recommend this book to anyone

Sara Rath's "The Complete Cow" is a gem of a book. I was amazed by the scope and in-depth coverage of cows written in friendly first person text. It 's all so readable and interesting, you just keep turning the pages for more information about these all-important and loveable beasts. The book is full of large-format color photos, side-bars, cow jokes and interesting trivia such as how to say "Moo" in eleven languages. Did you know that the age of a cow is always based on her age when she calves? Or that Texas still leads the US in beef production? Rath writes about the mythical cow in places like Egypt, Greece and Scandinavia; cow breeds of the world (Kuri, Pinzgauer and Romagnola); and the philosophy about cows. Another section I found interesting was "Holy Cow" about how the Masia tribe of Kenya andTanzania devote their lives to cattle; the importance of cattle in Irish culture; and interesting lore about the Texas Longhorn. The Complete Cow, entertaining and witty from start to finish, is a real pleasure to hold in your hands. A great gift for anyone who loves cows!

I would request some alternatives through which we or those who would like to know more about the true faith that mankind surpose to follow,should have access to the books contents specially the spiritual ones through the internet rather than commercializing them.however,I am not aginst sales but atlease those who can buy or order the book can do so but we have to consider them who are home like Africa in which shipping is not efficient and also money is the problem.We beleive the word of Jah is already spread in the entire world but yet mankind need constant reminder and through the books,and other spiritual words. we could feed the nations spiritually and the message of ONE LOVE inculcated into the hearts of all mankind.

"Hath The Lion Prevailed" is an interesting book to read about the heart of one "SOUL." It puts one in touch with an understanding of one self, and through "Rastalogy." It is a primier that give one a true understanding of Rasta. Using the bible you can see where the author proves why Haile Selassie is Jesus returned in his Kingly and conquering form. I think that "Hath The Lion Prevailed" is an execellent book and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to know more about Rastafarian truth.

This unique book of 38 pages will assist any one, at any level, to understand the Rastafari religion. It begins , as we did, with Adam and Eve. Using biblical quotations throughout, author John Moodie, or Prince Michael as he is spiritually Known, provides an understanding of the linage of Haile Selassie 1 from the very begining. Chapter One presents the trial and tribulation of Ham, Shem, and Japhet, their curses and their blessings followed by Moses and the Burning Bush, the betrayal of Samson by Delilah and the shearing of Samson's seven locks. You probably already know about David and Goliath, but did you know about Davids youngest son Solomon anh how he seduced Sheba? Chapter Two sheds new light on Jesus Christ and what he had to endure due to his belief in God. The death that he suffered in being crucified on the cross makes one wonder why some religions continue to use the cross as a sign that is representative of ones faith. The cross was used to crucify people and yet now it is a sign of worship. The cross is a sign of death and destruction, a burning one designates the nefarious Ku Klux Klan. It is by all means, a graven image that Moodie exemplifies in his writing. H.I.M. Emperor Haile Selassie 1 fulfills this prophesy by returning to sit on David's throne. Read on in Chapter Three to learn what Selassie 1 went through during his reign as King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Conquering Lion of Judah. "Rastafari has survived the afterbirth grime that the system has placed on H.I.M;" explains Moodie, "and today is classified by a Catholic Commission as a valid religion" ( Report of Catholic Commission on Racial Justice in Britain and Jamaica). With several photos of Haile Selassie 1, some interesting art work to embellish the words, some excellent inspirational poetry interspersed and significant insightful information, John Moodie has written a fine piece of literature that is inspired from the heart and soul. When Mr. Moodie visited the Reggae Report offices recently his spiritual vibe was omnipresent. Not only is Hath...The Lion Prevailed...? an excellent primer for the newcomer, it is enjoyable reading for all who wishes to learn more about the origins of Rastafari.

This is one of my favorite books I've read it over and over again. It's defiently worth reading I couldn't put it down!

Dorothy Keddington is not only intelligent, she's a talented and entertaining author. She is able to draw you into the storyline from the very beginning, making it almost impossible to put the book away, even after you've finished it. After every Keddington novel I've read, I'm always left wanting more. Unfortunately Dorothy hasn't written very many novels, so I am left to reread the ones she has. But for those few I am extremely thankful.

This book has it all. This mix of romance and and adventure grasps your attention and wont let go. The characters and story are unforgetable. This is a book you will want to read again and again.

This book is really good! I love all of her books. Jayhawk was a suspensful and romantic novel. I first read it about 8 years ago. It is now being sold at Seagull book in Utah and I bought it as soon as they had it.
