Distribution Books

This is a great introduction to the area for those already possessing good mathematical ability and knowledge of distribution theory. All the seminal theorems and references are in here and the reader would be wise to check them out. Well written and communicated, didn't find any typo's. Enjoyed it. This area is fast growing in the area of mathematical finance.

I just got this book, so I can't comment on the contents yet. However, I feel quite ripped off, because this is the previous edition. The hardcover, which is only $20 more is a new second edition, while the paperback is from 1999.

He is the best of the best.

Anything by Richard Corben is excellent material. This story is no different. An awesome story, and awesome art!

As was the recommendation that preceded mine, this book was recommended by a friend. Once I stated reading it, I could not put it down. I refer to it as "Economics for dummies". It explains in as clear language possible how our Money functions and who controls it. There is a development of the process with historical references. I believe that all Americans should read this description and assessment of The United States Money System. If only half of what is contended were true, in fact, if the only correct part was that "We the People" (the United States Government)need to take our money back and put it under the control of the Treasury, the book is worth every cent. Homo sapiens being an organism that is 1) Not nice and 2) Opportunistic, we should do all in our power to protect and preserve the Constitution of the United States. As a document, it addresses "human nature" and NOT a Legal System. This book points out how we can still save our country from "Elitist" individuals that would like to remove the Rights of the Individual. This can readily be done by control of our Money. In fact, such control is possible with any political system that hands over the regulation of its monetary system. A Great Book.

I borrowed this book from a friend at his encouragement. It is such an important book that I intend to secure my own copy so that I can study it. It was a great wake up call to realize that most common people are only pawns for the big banks. We have been lied to about so many things even our money is a lie. I thought it was government backed, it is not. The Federal Reserve is not part of the government, it is owned by banks owned by private landlords. Every person who wishes to know what is really happening in our country should read this book.

This book is a must read for any teacher - in Christian or secular settings! Will challenge you and give you insights into the behavior of those around you.

I work in the same organisation as Harry Stoll, and most of us in General Electric Power Systems have a tremendous respect for him. This book is a must-buy for those involved in the electric utilities business, and is the bible in the GE Energy Services Consulting group. I think he's now working on a new book that covers the degregulated environment as well. Hopefully we'll see that soon.

Since I discovered this book at university I cannot refer to anything else better. It covers a wide range of technical and economic items in a very clear and detailed way. Not only it is a mine of information and simulation techniques, but it also provides a substantial mathematical background. I definitively think it's worth its price.

I just finally got this cd added to my collection of Neal's albums, and it's an amazing showcase of his years of music making. If you aren't well versed in Neal's work, I suggest you start with his first solo album, "Fade Away Diamond Time"...But to get an overview of his career, please, please buy this album at your earliest convenience. It's very hard to peg Neal's music into one category, because he never seems to stay in one vein..which makes him so interesting to listen to, he can do some amazing things with his voice and his music.
I know that my life has been made better because I have had the chance to love and adore his music, I used to dance gently around the living room with my infant son when "Fadeaway" came out...so he really was very special to me. Then I found out he shares his birthday with my daughter...they were born 30 years apart. Then I finally got to meet him at some shows with his side band Hazy Malaze...I would consider him a pal. I hope that anyone reading this will take the time to check out Neal and find out what I have known for years, Neal Casal is incredible!

I must admit, I wasn't familiar with Neal Casal's work before a couple months ago, when his slinky remake of "Wishing Well" (yes, the old Terence Trent D'Arby hit) got lodged in my brain. I decided I could do worse than spend a few bucks for a greatest hits collection. I generally listen to CDs on my computer while I work. So, I slipped in Leaving Traces and....nothing. For the first couple of plays, it's as if the music made no impact. I figured, well, like a lot of talented instrumentalists, Casal just has no knack for writing memorable melodies.

Then I stuck the CD into the tray again the other day, and, well, it's refused to leave. "Free to Go." "Fremont Row." "Eddie & Diamonds." How did I not hear about this guy before? It definitely took a bit of time before his work to take hold, but it was worth the wait.

An experience of war that will leave you pained, shocked, and numb with knowledge. An excellent find.

"Life Cycle Reliability Engineering" has an interesting format that takes the reader through the initial product development stages, reliability program development, reliability definitions and allocation approaches, robust design through design of experiments, product testing methods, and warranty analysis. Accelerated life testing, degradation testing, and stress screening methodologies are emphasized in the book and represent a significant portion of the content. The reader is left with a comprehensive reliability analysis toolset that can be utilized throughout the entire product life cycle. The ability of the author to present real world industrial applications through examples is beneficial and useful for students and practitioners.

One of the best books in reliability engineering... It should be a nice textbook for reliability engineering courses at graduate level. In addition to those comprehensive theoretical materials, the book provides many real-world examples and case studies, many of which came from the author's years of experience in this area. With the help of these examples, practitioners should be able to understand the associated statistical techniques and utilize them in their own reliability practices.

One of the best books I have in my "library".

This is one of the most fascinating books of male nude photography that has ever been published. This photographer has quite an imagination and a talent in offering up a dream-like, very erotic display of male beauty. The shots in "Luxure" are primarily from the calendar series "Erotika" and "Alchemy", and includes images created for the Sydney 2000 Olympics. There are 80 pages of sepia-tone and color images of aggressively masculine nude men, in fantasy, mythology & fetish outfits, as well as the four season's images that will remind you of Pierre & Gilles style of photography.

Richard de Chazal is one of Australia's top haute-couture designers, and photographers. He has a style all his own, which is truly brilliant and unique in its conception and finality. This is a beautifully designed book, though not large, with a soft leather-like cover. This is one of my favorite books from a photographer who I hope publishes more of his beautiful images in the near future.
