Anime Books

If you are into the TV show of this series, the books are a good background filler of the ongoing fun. The TV series only takes a part of the book series. The art is good and the stories are light [fun and trouble with the charactors in different situations]. If you are into Japanise Anime and art styles and enjoy light stories and humor, you might get hooked on this series of books/DVDs. Note that story arcs do cross different volumes. Yes, I do enjoy the series and this book. Dark Horse is re-doing this series to be more in line with the Japanise home editions. Just read from back to front [right to left] and enjoy!

Being a big comic fan, I think Ma Dalton is excelent and probably the best luck luke out there. The book is simply hilarious.

Excellent! 10 out 10! The true story of Sailor Moon! If you're into Manga and Anime, I would recommend this manga 100%. Sailor moon is full or Romance, Adventure, Drama and More. If you like sailor moon you might also like Revolutionary girl Utena another Manga written by Naoko Takeuchi.

I enjoyed reading this book, as I am very interested in Anime, and have been since I was small. Outlining AstroBoy, Gigantor, and others, this book timelines the entire robot anime genre and the books, films and tv shows that have influenced our own culture.

A great find at any price.

This DVD has 3 girls that are some kind of magical warriors . . . and get naked! The story makes little sense (don't try to understand why the monkeys keep shooting the body guard guys) so just enjoy the sex and nudity. Great overall, just don't expect a great story.

Great for anyone looking for a good sword and sorcery book. There are comedic twists little soft teddy bears the poop toilet paper. Plenty of comedy, violence and brief nudity.

Treasure Hunter is a blend of Japanese manga along with Arabian Nights lore that combines to make a fun and adventurous ride. Jubei is the greatest treasure hunter alive. It is said there is no treasure that he cannot obtain...if you pay him enough. Jubei finds himself contracted by a beautiful young woman who wants him to endure the dangers of a mysterious temple in order to find the legendary "jelly bun of youth" which can restore youth to the person that eats it.

Jubei accepts the contract and is joined by his faithful sidekick, a magic flying carpet called "carpet". As he tries to breach the entranceway to the temple he finds that the entrance is actually a gigantic, 100' tall golem who has no intention of letting Jubei through. But this is a minor setback compared to when the true nemesis is revealed to Jubei and he has the fight of his life to survive.

In the second tale the leader of a Skeleton band of pirates wants Jubei to locate the artifact called the Figurehead of Souls on Jelly Island. This story is continued in the second volume of the series. Jubei is a fun character, part Robin-Hood, part Dennis Miller with his swashbuckling, wise-cracking ways. There seems to be nothing he can't do! Writer/Artist Hitoshi Tomizawa produces fun, adventurous story brimming with exotic and humorous locales and equally entertaining characters. His art is top of the line as well.

I have owned this book from about the first week it has come out. After reading it a couple of times I can honestly say it is a well written book. If you like Sci-fi then you will absolutely LOVE this book. The author has a unique style of writing that after a few chapters, keeps you hooked on the book. Can not wait for the sequel.
