Animation Books

I loved this book. I first became intersted in this author when I read "the Visitor." I loved the style of her writing and I loved her use of the legend of the visitor. It made for very interesting reading and I was extremely impressed. After reading it I tried to track down some of her other books and came across this one. I really enjoyed it and I still haven't decided which book I like better! I can't wait to read more of Jenna Ryan's work!

Beatrix Potter is my favorite children's author. Her use of language is incredible, and her story lines are just dark enough to be interesting, and not so dark that they are truly terrifying.
Samuel Whiskers is the story of how Tom Kitten is almost made into a pudding dumpling. Highlights include an argument between Samuel Whiskers and his wife, Anna Maria, on the proper way to make a pudding, and Tom Kitten who, at the height of his regret about climbing the chimney, finds delight in how he's sweeping the chimney with his clothes.
Those who are heavily PC may not appreciate Potter's references to snuff, and whipping, but for the rest of us, those references add real color and interest to the story.

My daughter absolutely LOVES this set. She just got it for her 3rd birthday and she just loves it. It has 10 dinosaur finger puppets that co-incide with the dinos in the book numbered 10 through 1 (Dino #8 is the same one as the one in the book, etc.) and it also has a Scientist finger puppet with a 0 on it. This is a board book that is smaller than the regular book (which is oversized imo) and perfect for carrying around.

She loves the cantor of the sing songy words and just loves to jiggle the book to make the eyes all wiggly. Even if your toddler dosn't love dinos, she or he will just love this book. gladly would I give it more stars, if I had stars to give!

Great story, and I LOVE Heath McPherson's artwork. I bought this book for my two daughters, but I have yet to let them see it! I've been too busy looking at the illustrations myself!

A truly amazing book! The genius of the authors is apparent from the get-go. How Walt Disney ever got started without this is mind-boggling.

A very insperational book! It doesn't have much to read, but the illustrations tell a thousand tales (sorry if that was cheezy.) As a student animator myself who would like to someday work at Pixar, it's nice to get a behind the scenes glimpse at the creative process behind their works. I would like to thank Pixar for making this book and also my girlfriend for getting it for me.

As an animator and one of the biggest Disney fans out there, this big has everything you want to know and need to know about how the Disney animation process is done. This book along with the Art of Disney and The Illusion of Life are a great combo together.

This is a very complete (it didn't mention the Swedish radio series, but that's no big loss ;-) and informative guide to all incarnations of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (as well as the other works by Douglas Adams). It is a must for every fan of this master.

This is an aweseome calendar! The pictures representing each month are well staged and so interesting to look at. They came out with a 2007 calendar which I sat on wait for months and it still never became available. This one however shipped right away. If you compare the pictures Amazon had online for the months within the 2007 calendar, this one is much better. They must have hired a marketing guru who knew how to showcase the characters in funny situations that were not only interesting but true to the characters. Great for use as a calendar or for the collector. 5 Stars!!!!!
